Why I hate my pxg clubs

Let's not talk expense anymore because they're actually cheaper in the long-run because if someone spends $3,000+ on clubs they'll feel married to them for life so they won't keep buying more irons. And because they're supposed to be SO easy to hit, they can't go "back" because all the guys will say "what happened to the PXG'S?". It's a trap folks!

]If one gets a year end bonus of $50K, $100K $1 Million do you think they care about $2K, $3K $4K for a set of irons?

Do they still have a wife who wants a new kitchen, a mortgage and a 16 month old?

Then yes, "they" probably do.

Let's review what we have learned from this thread:

1. Nobody can tell others how to spend their money because 'merica.

2. Everybody can (and should) make fun of others if they spend their money in really silly ways (like $6,000 irons).

This thread is making me question my existence. Over 30 years of playing and I can't remember one time somebody has asked about my clubs. I am a nobody. :(

Its definetely just me, but im an ultra gear nerd to the point my friends say im like rain man with equipment and can usually pick out clubs from a distance...ill ask about ur clubs

A lot of suggestions and I decided to heck with it , why not put a full pxg set in my bag. The move was in the works. Welcome 0341X 3 & 5 wood, 0317X hybrid. No headcovers, they will be on full display. My dough and all that counts will be fairways, greens and executing my putting.

I suggest you pick up the matching putter....let us know what you think of the clubs....and of course, how much did they cost?

The price I paid is a price I can afford. Someone posted a person was silly to spend 6000 on clubs and he has a right to his opinion. I wonder what his opinion on a guy who spends 400K on a phantom and drives it 2000 miles a year? This post juice me up believe you me and I posted those newbies to silence the critics and it seems to be effective

Tell them your PXGs are cheap Chinese clones and that you wash cars for a living. They'll leave you alone after you tell them were they can get the clones.

I'm still trying to figure out why I don't get the same reaction out of my bag.

No doubt one of the best irons I have hit and the iron of choice 0311 4-PW with steel fiber stiff shafts 2018. What I hate about them? Everywhere I play, the same response. You must have plenty of money, what do you do for a living? It is beyond irritating! It has become a thorn in my side. Whatever the notion is out there, these clubs are affordable if you want them. I just want to play golf when I hit the course!

Tell them none of it is their business or give some smart aleck answer like you own a string of crack houses or something like that. Nothing wrong with you playing what you want to. My buddy just bought a set a couple of weeks ago and he has gotten some of the same questions you have seriously. But for him the sensible and truthful answer is "I am retired". He is not super rich but he does have a comfortable retirement and does not live above his means. Besides IMHO he has worked all his life and he wanted them and deserved them. Even if he had not bought that set and had you been paired with me the only comment you would have had from me would have been "PXG nice sticks"

Answer: I'm a drug cartel. My best friend is El Chapo. Guaranteed it'll either elicit comedy, silence or horror.

Solving problems one golf forum post at a time. You can thank me now.

Is that putter for real? Looks like something Liberace or Mr. Slave would game.

Have you lined up any swing lessons with Monte or Dan to work on improving your transition and balance?

With that massive chip on your shoulder it cannot be easy.

those screw options are pretty neat. are they for real?

Yes....just make room for the box in your cart and the official gold plated PXG screwdriver.

So it’s not real then ? Thought about getting some pxg wedges if they got some color customizations for a back up set.

I got the picture from someone who has PXG's...maybe it's not available to the general public.
