I just got a few clubs back from Oughtons. Beyond pleased with how they turned out. I primarily wanted this putter and mp30 iron stripped but had the titleist Mb done for the heck of it. Looking forward To getting them shafted up and in play. If anybody is interested in the mb 3 iron, I would let it go. Pm me.

Anything special that they had to do with the TP badges? Or did you remove them before shipping and then reapply when you got them back?

Don’t know. Some of the labels are worn and some look fine.

So if you have a set with some browning, maybe even significant, will stripping the chrome and having the grooves redone make an iron "like new", or is it really going to depend on how bad the faces are worn...

All these irons looks sweet. Just sent out a set of razr mb's to have them stripped. Golfworks does it for 10 bucks per head plus taxes and shipping to and from.

What process did you use yourself? Are the faces just blasted or is that a coating? They look great!

Received these beauties in the mail from Doug Oughton today, and I couldn’t be more pleased! Plan on shafting them up tomorrow and installing grips the next day. Can’t wait for them to develop a nice patina, but I don’t play on creating an artificial one for now. Now I just have to wait for golf courses here in WI to actually be open...?

Did you just get them stripped or did you pay the extra for the grooves to be done? Want to have my old Hogans done but haven't decided exactly what I want.

Just stripped, but I believe he does the grooves as a part of the process. I'm sure that if you didn't want them refreshed, he would oblige, but I thought it would be beneficial to have a professional do it. What is the turnaround time with Doug? Does he buff out small dings? Do you know how much weight was lost?

I emailed him a couple months ago, Its about $27/head for stripping and grooves... Those J40s look awesome!

I lost roughly 5-8 grams per head, used tip weights to bring the SW back up to normal. Doug was a great guy to work with. Mine were about a week for turnaround time, but I did them early January so he was a little slower.

Not exactly sure what else you may have been looking to have done, but the work on mine was priced at $17. Either way, shoot him an email and he can let you know exactly what it will run you! Turnaround was a right around a week, including shipping times, so quite fast. And to be honest, I didn't weigh them prior because I got the heads as pulls and will be swingweighting them anyways, so the lost weight didn't matter much to me. But 4-8 seems to be about the norm!

Price I was quoted was $17 each head for chrome stripping, another $10 per head to have grooves redone.... If it's less, thats great, but that's what he quoted me.

4-7 are raw with tungsten showing 8/9 no Tungsten
