How many drivers do you own and play?

Taylormade M2 10.5* with GD Tour AD Iz 6 stiff...…..just one owned and played. Tried the new Taylormade stuff and went back to this old stalwart.

XR with lead tape, and Fusion. XR has been great when my swing is on. Still trying to dial in a shaft for the Fusion.

 

I will work on my swing next year, and then look at the 2019 offerings (Ping and Mizuno has my current interest.)

Drivers take me the longest to get Acccustomed to so I do not like switching drivers even little things as a grip or a shaft can throw me off.

 

I’ve played the 2017 M1 for over a year now and still happy. I’ve owned many drivers and shafts during that time.

As a reformed club ho, who didn't trade much in, I have probably a dozen drivers in my inventory. All are good, gives me choices when put my 'gamer' in the penalty box, but I've played long enough to know it's not the club, so doesn't happen too often anymore.

Used drivers have very poor resale value so I end up keeping mine. I have sold some but this is what is in the Man Cave or in Play.

I gamed 2 drivers this year... next year I plan on only playing the TS3... but I'm up to 4 shafts that I'll be dialing in to find the best combo

FOUR - one is just collecting dust (optiforce 440), I keep it to have an extra callaway shaft around.

 

After beating out a 2017 M1 460 and Epic SZ, surprisingly my gamer last year was a Ping G SFtec which I still have.

 

It will face competition from a G400 Max and F8+, both of which I picked up towards the end of the season.

Started 2018 with the Ping G. Then switched to Nike Vapor Speed. Then switched to Cobra F7+ and ended year with JPX 900. Believe I found a winner with the JPX. Don’t expect to change in 2019 but you never know.

Oh God, last time I looked I had 48 driver heads kicking around. Thats just what I could see there may be more in some bins in the garage. 30plus spare shafts to tinker with. This gets me through the cold canadian winters.

 

As for which I game, most days its a 905r. t.I. M2 16, m3, f8plus, epic sz make an appearance on the range.

 

I do have a good stock pile of tour issued 910 d2 heads in every loft, 905r in most lofts, 282 superquads the list is endless, have pretty well played most taylormade and titleist heads in the past 15 years. Most cobra heads from the last 6 years. You name it I probably have it somewere in my golf lab, chances are in a variety of lofts. The only company I don't have a ton of drivers from is Ping only a couple of I15s. Its not quite Arnies collection but its way out of hand.

I play Adams Speedline 9088UL in my main bag, KZG Gemini II in the other bag and sometimes alternate with a Nike SQ 460.

After playing my G400Max for almost a year I broke out the old, white Taylormade RBZ driver at the range last night. Will be working that one in for the fun of it once in a while. Pretty good driver. I'd like to get it painted another color, though. Never really liked the white finish...

As to the white finish . . . I played Adams Super LS woods for a time. The post game ritual at home was to scrub the green grass chlorophyll off of those white heads with Simple Green and a soft brush. Got tired of that drill . . .

I did my own fitting over the last two years so I have five different shaft options and I play the 12 degree with a Mitsubishi d+ stiff at 44.5".

Two:

 

G400 SFT 10* & G400 Max 9*. Three shafts that I can interchange are Accra DyMatch 2.0 MT70, Accra FX270 and Ping Tour 65.

 

I used to be a component guy (Alpha, SMT, Wishon), but Ping drivers are awesome.
