While i agree that Nikes concern with actual golfers has waned, I think the testing program might just be dead. I was accepted for 3 or 4 different departments and I haven't heard anything from any of them. Or it's possible that they "accepted" new testers and just aren't sending anything out to new people?

^^^ I’m sure you’re right man about the death of the testing program in general. I just vicariously felt excited for all the folks that got chosen and looked forward to hearing about their prototype testing. I just wish Nike did use the program with some fellow wrx’ers to help stop/or tweak some of the things that have came to market in the golf side. I’d gladly trust many of the great Wrx contributors voice to be representative of mine to help get some better product out to the masses.

The colour-ways have been very muted this year, hasn’t stopped me picking a few up. But now grown tired of plain shirts with no swoosh on the chest where it should be, craving some new blade-collared aeroreact shirts as they’ve nailed them the past few years.

Also, I hope they start selling the gloves again otherwise I’ll be playing with blisters before long!

Get the feeling we haven’t got much time left with the SS19 collection, when do they typically release the AW catalogues?

For those interested, there's an eBay user who has a number of Nike golf gloves for sale for $12/each. I just bought 16 of the Nike Dri-Fit Tour 3 gloves he has. Just thought I'd pass his "store" along for those that were also looking for gloves.

This isnt true, Ive been a member of it for 8 years ive only gotten selected maybe 5 times, Once you get the first one, it really depends on your review. Do you think theres a shortage of people willing test out gear? hmmmmm prob not. To be honest its not all its cracked up to be. Its quick like a 3-5 week turn around, you have to have reports in on time etc. its actual work, you cant post anything, and send it back immediately after. You really arent missing out

I've been a Nike product tester for several years. i started out with basketball and as i got older i added running and golf to my sports.

i've consistently gotten products, sometimes up to 4 times a year. just as you said, you aren't allowed to post any pictures or talk about anything you're testing. the guidelines are pretty strict if you don't want to be removed from the program.

i will agree that testing has slowed down a lot since the move to the new product testing platform, but, as mentioned, it is real work. each test has specific things that are being tested so it's fairly easy to tell if you're faking your results/reports. as i've mentioned before, the most exciting thing i've ever tested was the free inspired sole that Tiger had on the original TW13.

of all the tests i've been part of over the years, i've only ever gotten to keep 1 product, which was a silver pair of Air Force 1s that i would never wear in real life.

They have you send everything back too? Dang so what’s even the point then other than testing product for free

Now I feel like an idiot. I've been begging for a Dri-Fit TW tee... and they deliver... and now I'm seriously balking. I'm cool with "If anyone can". If it said, "Play like Tiger" or something like that? But I'm not sure if I can wear something that says, "I am Tiger Woods". LOL

I'M SUCH A HYPOCRITE!!!! NIKE, WHY DID YOU HAVE TO MAKE ME A LIAR?!?!?! :D

I don’t even understand it. They could have done a red t shirt with black swoosh in front and TW small logo on back neck and I’d buy instantly. Instead we get this bologna

Yep it was a marketing campaign in the 90’s. Tons of people, all diverse in age and race saying ‘I am Tiger Woods’. I had a t-shirt back then that said it.

That’s the original shirt. But at least it had a tiger photo on the back.

Shows what I know. I wasn't playing during Tiger's first heyday. (Yeah, that's right. I said FIRST!) Nikes grip on me is strong. I got one. I have massive FOMO and I must be a massive sheep.

Why does it have to be so hard, they make some great, simple dri-fit t's, why not for golf?

here is an example of a newer one, just have it say Nike Golf, throw a swoosh on the sleeve, or not and offer it in 8-10 colors.

by comparison, all of that is pretty tame compared to the average offender in the NFL, yet people still buy Ezekiel Elliot jerseys and never give it a second thought. i'm not suggesting that i condone Tiger's behavior, but i don't see this being any different than supporting your favorite player.
