Early Extension. Can’t beat this

Sorry guys. I realize it’s not the same. I was mostly referring to my pelvic tilt at address. That’s what the entire thread has basically been about and what I was having such a hard time with

 

Hey 00bolt, did you fix this early extension?

 

Did you ever get down to a 3 yet?

 

Haven’t been on any golf sites for a while...looking back at more interesting topics such as yours.

 

BTW, are you standing more upright now?

 

 

No. I wish I did get to a 3 this year. But unfortunately I didn’t really improve my handicap much. I still hover around that 7-8 mark. Generally on a normal good day I shoot low 80s. I didn’t get to play as much as I had hoped. I ended up going to Italy for nearly a month, was laid off and started a new career and am now self employed, my son moved away to college, my mom passed away etc. so golf took a bit of a backseat in a sense in 2018.

 

However. I’m committed to making 2019 my year of finally getting down to the 70s once and for all. My first step is trying to tackle my swing flaws and I think my pelvic tilt and early extension are two of my main goals. I wouldn’t say I’ve mastered it by any means whatsoever. But I do think I’m improving on the pelvic tilt. It’s a conscious effort. But it’s going in the right direction.

One thing I seemed to have stumbled upon while trying to fix this pelvic tilt is golf seems to be a game of opposites. Before I feel like I was tilted over more at address and stood up taller at impact. Now that I’m working on my pelvic tilt I feel taller at address which seems to make it easier to get bent over at impact. This may not be a surprise to others. But something I’ve kinda just come across. In which case may end up helping me fix both issues. Pelvic tilt and early extension.

One other thing that can cause this and was the case with me also is a little too much knee flex at address and S Posture.. S Posture doesn't allow the pelvis to move the way it's supposed to and your body naturally will try find it's own balance point somewhere through the swing..

Wow! That’s a lot of things happening! Congratulations on your son going to college, condolences on your mom and good luck with your business!

 

Hope to see improvements the upcoming year for you! We’re about the same handicap for now, but I think age will start to take a toll on my distances...

I've have/had the same problem with EE and tried just about all of the utube fix's. Then I stumbled upon something that a lot of folks seemingly over look. At address, I've widened my stance and that restricted my body from straightening up and kept me in a much better impact position.
