Is golf your most expensive hobby?

Definitely not.

I DJ (semi professionally) and produce music, so that alone is a good £10+ per year in equipment, music blah blah.

Golf, i'm lucky that I don't change clubs often, I do a lot of research and buy a club that suits me and usually keep it until it's worn and then upgrade. So usually just membership, clothes, shoes, balls and gloves that cost me throughout the year!

Nope, Golf is really not that expensive. At least where I live with so many courses around. Racing my Time Attack car on the other hand....set of tires and a weekend entry fee to attend a race with travel costs is easily some people's yearly membership fee's at a private course. Plus you have to work with partners and sponsors to make it even possible.

Golf has definitely taken the top spot. Now that I have started taking lessons, play 5-6 rounds a month, and always browsing the BST looking for ways to burn some money.

Unfortunately its 4th on my list of expensive hobby's, the first hobby being my daughters equestrian hobby (Never knew you could "lease" a horse), the second is the boat, the third is my mountain biking, and fourth is golf.

not my most "expensive"...my hot rod addiction is like a drug. Sometimes I have to step away from that. But it keeps me sane. 3 kids, one away at college, and 2 others about to get out of high school is my most expensive "labor of love".

I don't even want to talk about tarpon fishing.....and my wife sure does not want to hear about it. :)

Got back into golf recently when my 17 year old son picked it up, and I can't remember the last time I had so much fun.
