i was completely unaware that the new rule REQUIRED a drop from knee height. this is so incredibly stupid.

 

Maybe not so stupid - if dropping on a side-slope a player might have chosen to drop it from higher to ensure it bounces/rolls back into a hazard or closer to the hole, so they can eventually place it.

I know you are probably joking, but I was I a golf store a couple weeks ago and looked at the Wilson irons again and they are darn nice irons (of course, the black and gold might be the most significant factor, lol). Having said that, I've known they were available and didn't even try them when looking the past year or two.

Love on #4 yesterday when DJ played the wrong ball and waited for a ruling. After he got the ruling he played so fast he had literally addressed the ball - asked his brother the yardage and played the shot. All after he addressed the ball and it all took like 3 seconds.

Which is why it is silly. Fox football games have your TV lit up like a pinball machine or video game. Probably so games can be better followed in sports bars where nobody can hear them, but that's beside the point.

 

The little, traditional graphic already shows par/strokes and the other day even said "putting for birdie" in that little box before going to the putt. Graphics never hurt anyone, lol, but when unnecessary they are distracting and a bit silly.

First rules violation of the new year goes to DJ for playing the wrong ball. If you had a prop bet to name which golfer would be the first to be penalized in 2019, who wouldn't take DJ?

 

I haven't seen the stats, but it seems like the scoring is better on the back nine. Is the front nine played more into the wind?

Graphics are fine but use the same font. It’s like writing a paper or business proposal. Would you ever use different fonts to get your point across? If one of my direct reports ever sent me something with different fonts and sizes I wouldn’t even review it. I’d send it back and have them redo it.

Ugh, HUGE pet peeve is when the font on charts is so obviously different than the text in a report I read or have prepared. Same with header and body, etc.
