what do you estimate that will actually sell for? (ballpark)

the Halloween specials seem to be a lot more limited than the other specials throughout the year. I honestly think ~10 specials for Halloween. Halloween is always a good release. If i had to guess, maybe $500/600? this particular seller won't lower the price though. uses bots to purchase items and all their items are almost double based on what they're selling for. I can't remember what the previous Halloween specials sold for. The white Shankenstein face and Knock Em Dead cover - I don't think i've seen the specials hit eBay. that's how limited they are.

Thank you. It has been eerily quiet yesterday / today with no leaks or hints. Either it isn't happening, or they did a great job at keeping it a secret. Here is to hoping for a release soon!

There vegas event took place earlier this year so the next release will probably be around thanksgiving. Last year the tiki’s released the last week of November which was the next release after vegas which was right after Halloween release

You realize it once it is delivered. There are no options on checkout to select a limited release. I have been wondering if they ship earlier or later, or if they're completely random and shipped at the same time as the regular releases.

they all get mailed out over the span of a few days through a distributor after the initial release (they're known for being slow on mailing items out). i'd imagine they just pull the next one out of the giant box they're in and throw it in the order. there's no option to select a "special/limited" cover during checkout. not every release has a "special/limited" with the release. most are just the same cover that's mass released. many have been buying release day covers for years with no specials. it's completely random. on the secondary market - they go for a lot more (depending on the cover).

I'm guessing this random drawing is what keeps the flippers flipping. Most headcovers, after tax, shipping and then ebay fees/shipping again, can't net more than $20-30 profit, yet there are 75 to 200+ flipped after every release.

It's definitely a factor for me. Also, I buy probably 90% of them and "flip" a majority of those. It's honestly not a money-making venture, but sometimes I won't like one on the website but in person I end up really liking it (or vice versa). Most recently they're going for about $100-110 on ebay, which is basically a wash. I just like to see what they look like in person then decide whether I keep or not.

I can understand that. I buy clubs I don't need all the time, just love trying them out on the course rather than in a golf shop. I'll admit, I've never gotten the headcover itch from Scotty because I love the magnetic headcovers. Something about sticking it to a wedge in your bag while you go putt is so easy and it never touches the ground. I use a titleist headcover for one of putters and I'm glad it's black because it's always falling on the ground when I'm using it.

Nope. If we follow last years schedule there was a tiki release on 11/27 and holiday on 12/4

Do you think they released this because of the leak, or this was the plan the whole time?

 

I had all of it in the cart, and just couldn't justify the purchase. I was just going to buy the coin, but it was going to be $99.73 with shipping. Backed out of all of it. Hopefully there are some releases in December

there's been some other early sneak peak's. unless there's no more releases for the year. at least that's what the wording on the cover description made it seem. like they're signing off for the year and wishing us a happy holidays. time will tell if we see another release.
