Favorite Putter Grip

I’m really fond of leather paddles. Wish Best Grips would release a midsize microperf.

 

Have found success with Pure’s Big Dog. Shape is ideal in my hands. Works well when I’m building with a heavier head weight (370+ grams).

I’ve been intrigued by them ever since seeing them at the local pgatss. Can you comment on the feel compared to something like a superstoke or even an iomic? Although I like the shape and overall feel of the actual superstroke grips(gtr tour and slim 2.0 in particular) they just deaden the impact feel a bit more than I would like.

Yes.. The rosemark seems to impart better feel and feedback but that's more (I suspect) from the ergonomic design that sits better for my grip than the ss. I tried the 1.25 initially but found the lower portion a tad small. The have a parallel grip as well. Maybe try that too?

no worries, and thanks for the info. getting away from the taperless designs as i'm starting to notice my stroke lately seems to agree more with a slightly oversized pistol grip. thanks again!

Rosemark 1.52 fits my hands better than anything else on the market. It just... fits perfectly, with no wiggle room. I really can't explain it any better. Plus I like the texture, which is kind of a hard rubbery, almost plastic-y feel, but with great traction.

 

The only other grip I'll use is the SS Pistol GT 1.0 CounterCore, which I have on my Yes! Tracy III. Solid feel and I love the counterbalancing.

I'm going through a bunch of grip trying to see what I like best, my grip has also changed so also looking for what fits me best.

 

What I've tried:

• Rosemark 1.52 - Liked the size and density. The bumps didn't feel great when I had an eczema flair up.
  
• Ping PP62 - Like the feel, wish it was a touch thicker, pretty high price for a grip.
  
• Evnroll 1.2 - Similar feel and thoughts to the Ping, priced better.
  

Incoming or being installed:

• Edel Round - was on the putter during my fitting, it's different, found no issues, will see how I like it.
  
• SS Mid Slim 3.0 - Needed a CB grip, was on sale will give it a try on my backup putter.
  

Want to try:

• Pure Grips Big Dog - Like the feel of the mid size, grip is leaning towards that style, the large size will fit my hands well.
  
• JumboMax - Look similar to the Ping but cheaper, way cheaper.
  
• Garsen Grips - Rave reviews, looks like will fit my hands and grip well. Just need to order 1 or 2.
  
• P2 Grips - Large and heavy, looks like will fit my hands well and give the weight I want in a grip.
  

There are a few more but I only have so many putters and don't want to change too often.

Superstroke Pistol GT/GTR Tour is my go to lately. I really like the Best Grips major leaguer pistol but it's sometimes too thin. Other grips of similar shape are also in my wheelhouse but I need them to be firmer or able to be built up.

I've really taken to the Lamkin Deep Etch I just wish it was bigger and they offered the jumbo to the public besides ordering a Bettinardi version. That grip is on 2 of my 4 main gamers.

 

I have a JumboMax Mid-Jumbo on the way to replace my Edel Round which I cannot get comfortable with. I also have a Garsen Max which I'm probably going to throw onto an old Bettinardi.

I'm not exactly or should I say entirely weird about putter grips but I haven't found what I want just yet either.

 

As far as shape I like a pistol but actually prefer the Palmlock shape type but even taller, the taller the better I feel like that limits unwanted wrist motion for me.

 

The thing is I haven't come across that shape. I've had a couple of Supertrokes 3.0's 5's 1.5s and plenty of Winns a Rosemark 1.52 with the Rosemark, I got the bigger thinking I'd like that better. I love how it feels but the right pinkie on my right hand got busted up as a kid and is slightly short and doesn't flex as well after awhile it feels tired on the Rosemark a 1st world prob definitely! But it is uncomfortable.

 

So I have some interest in a P2 but I get tired of changing out $30 grips on my silly old Craz-e so mostly I just keep the sweet old GP V-Rad silk which I do like a lot the only thing I'd change would be the shape taller of course but aside from that I really enjoy this grip the most. TBH

 

I found a Dunlop Grip with a perfect shape a couple of years back but it never occurred to me that I'd never feel that same shape again LOL Again first world problems.

Has anyone tried the P2 classic, P2 aware or Kotahi putter grips? The technology seems like it might help some.

 

Did you find they made any real world differences for you? What did you think?

I have the React Tour on my DH89. Honestly it took a little while to get use to just because of how you set your hands. Once you get use to it the grip is nice, I find it locks my wrists in place.
