Tour AD IZ Hybrid (March release)

Still playing the IZ hybrid for another season.  It is so good.  I didn't get along with the IZ in a fwy (probably tipped too much - felt dead and didn't launch) so I was surprised the hybrid worked out so well.

I have IZ in both my hybrids. I hated the DI hybrid shaft but something about the IZ just matches perfectly with my swing. I get mid flight that tends to fly flattish. Gets to the apex quick and then just flies.

I have the IZ in my driver and 4 wood and the DI in my hybrids. Like the results I am getting with these shafts, never tried the IZ in the hybrid, would like to at some point but for now, I'm liking the results with the DI mid to high flight with my hybrids which is what I am looking for....

Im thinking of picking up a IZ Hybrid for my 19* driving iron in 95S,

the profile is indeed what im looking for lower launching than the DI 95S.

oh how i wish the vents blue had a 95s

The IZ hybrid is a bit of an outlier among the other Tour ADs. The DI will be closer to a Ventus than the IZ. The IZ is very linear. Nearly a white bend profile, and stiffer than the DI

I have had the IZ 85x hybrid shaft paired with an 18 degree Callaway Apex hybrid for past 3 seasons, it’s been so good. IZ hybrid is quite a bit stiffer than the DI hybrid, feels very linear like above poster mentioned, still has great feel to it. Nice mid launch for me and keeps spin in a nice window.

Linear - means it is fairly one-piece feeling, or there is no single part of the shaft where you feel it bending/hinging. So most blue board type profiles the mid section is typically softer flex in relation to the butt and tip section, most will feel the bend point is in midsection of shaft. When somebody describes a shaft as feeling “linear” they simply mean you can’t feel (or don’t notice) the bend point in 1 particular section of the shaft.

To be honest i havent thought about it that way. We all have our own interpretations of feel, i do however Love Lively shafts.

il have to be more observant When testing shafts out. Thank you.

I apologize for resurrecting an old thread, but it appears some of you would have useful knowledge on my similar question. If I enjoy a Ventus Red (6 Reg) in my 4 wood, (I also have the IZ SR in my Driver), would I most likely prefer the DI or IZ in my hybrid?  I am looking for a high launch and soft landing.  I don't have a fast swing speed (96 driver) and I am on the upper end of a regular shaft. I am looking at a 4 hybrid to potentially serve as a jack of all trades, replacing both my 4 iron and a 7 wood. I don't want to be coming in too hot and rolling off greens. I also don't want ballooning spin balls.  Testing before buying on these shafts is nearly impossible.  I took a gamble on the Ventus Red based upon online reviews and comments, and now my 4 wood is by far my favorite club. Just feels soooooo smooth.

What shafts do you play in your irons?

Recoil 95 F3 Reg. Straight in. Previously played TT Dynalite XP S300 (older version of Elevate). I have hand nerve issues. Graphite iron shafts have been a game changer.
