Is this the stock shaft on the spider x?

Really like the CT Tour shaft, very stable and solid feeling. The total weight not an issue. Whatever shaft Scotty put in the 2020 putters, meh....

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but any idea how long the parallel tip is?

Since I play a short putter I like to tip the putter shaft a ton so the butt end isn’t too skinny.

That gives tip size weight and raw length. Doesn’t show the parallel tip length on them. Unless I’m just missing it.

From some measurements of a black .370 and brushed chrome .355, looks like about 6.5" of parallel tip on the .370 black and about 3" on the .355 brushed. But I'd ask KBS.

KBS lists the black version of this shaft in either Black PVD or Brushed Black PVD....

 

do we know which PVD is the one that comes stock on the Spider X?

 

is it the Brushed Black PVD or Black PVD?

 

I like the chrome black look better than the matte

Brushed black is the matte, black pvd is the one on the spider.

There seems to be something wrong on their website right now, but I bought all of mine (at least 4) directly on their site. The add to cart and cart buttons are missing. And for some reason they only sell the straight shafts on Amazon.

That makes sense. I was confused as to why you could select color, tip size, bend but there was no option to add to cart or buy.
@AG12 I checked there but seems they only have straight shafts.

I just got one of these (in satin white!) For my Bettinardi Queen Bee #9....can't wait!!!

I will say, the lack of shaft specs on their website is annoying however.

I just got one for my Artisan putter to match what they now sell as standard. Getting it installed tomorrow.

I used to have a C Taper X 8 iron shaft in my old Nike putter so be interesting to see how this goes. My putter is my wee baby so keeping the old shaft and grip just incase I don't like it.

Some of the literature I have read this is designed for heavier putter head design ? Anyone using this with around 350ish head

I have the shaft in three 340g-350g heads - great putter shaft - took two rounds to get used to but now really really nice. Well worth checking it out

My Artisan head is 370g and after 2 practice sessions and one good putting round I am very happy with my change to the CT Tour shaft from a standard one.

Hard to explain the feel difference for me(there is but not at impact) but all I cared is I am putting well.

Just different to the usual Cameron stock shafts. I don't think stiffness necessarily. It feels like going from dgs300 to Px5.5 if that makes sense! Just a different feel - now I'm used to it I prefer it to the TT Cameron ones but it also depends upon your putter head material. One easy way to mke your putter feel different is to change the grip and shaft - doesn't always mean a new putter. For $50 it's definitely worth trying.

Still loving mine in Las Vegas head. Just feels nicely balanced through the stroke. Have a Cushman C&C coming in the next couple of weeks and putting one in that head as well. That one will be 345-350gr weight. At first it feels a little more stiff and firm, but after practice and a couple of rounds it started to feel organic.
