I don’t blame Casey at all. He’s tied for second. Phil has a three shot lead. Casey has no margin for errror, Phil has a lot. A bogey for Casey would cost him a ton of money. This is professional golf, he’s looking out for himself as he should, not putting Phil’s convenience ahead of his own priorities.

He got his overrated underachieving smart arse kicked ... dude had a 3 stroke lead and is getting drubbed by 3 man vs chimp looking boy. That dumb looking PGA tour clown should had managed the tourney like a pro not a lazy slob ... this tourney should had been over a hour ago.

Doesn’t change the fact that he’s making the correct decision for himself.

My fanboy for Phil far outweighs any positive feelings for Casey. With that being said the one thing That I will give Casey credit for is he did run back to the 16th tee so as not to hold things up. After the round both admitted the player playing well wants to keep going while the one struggling wants to stop. Additionally the group with Woo Kim and whoever he was playing with was almost 2 holes behind the group in front of them according to the announcers. This will really blow up if Casey ends up pulling this off but chances of that are slim. If Phil wins no biggie, we just had to wait a day for our desert. Go Phil.

If Phil wins tomorrow....

He ties Mark O'Meara for most wins at the Pro-Am with five.

He ties Tiger Woods for most PGA Tour wins in the state of California with 14.

He will move to #17 in the world.

He will have a range of 29 years between his first and last PGA Tour victories, only Sam Snead and Ray Floyd with 30 will be ahead of him.

44 PGA Tour wins is still #9 on the all time list, he would be one behind Walter Hagen in eighth.

44 PGA Tour wins is the same as Dustin Johnson (19), Rory McIlroy (14) and Jordan Spieth (11) PUT TOGETHER.

Yeah they'd been waiting for those guys to putt out to hit their approach and it was pitch black. Casey marked his putt just to f$($ with Phil. No reason for Casey to continue he's trying to get solo second and win the member guest with his sandbagging partner, who also works for a major PGA sponsor.

that sandbagging am sponsor was getting on everyone’s nerves ... bet he is a cheat in business too

And this is why there are so many threads on "net golf" hate. If this guy's a 13, I'm a phocking U.S. Open Champion. What. A. Joke.

Obee, I teach a guy just like him.He plays 9s doesnt input his good scores plays to a 14-15 most of the year. He cleans up in money matches.Has a terrible rep at my course now because of these shenanigans over the last 2-3 years. its ridiculous. Ive told him so too so he knows

Some people will do anything to win a toaster oven.

Some of us really like toast though!!

This is such a soccer move. bullxxxx.

Yeah, golf (where you wear a collared shirt, eat snacks all day, and a manservant carries your equipment bag for you) is usually a much more brutal sport ; )

"Who are you calling a manservant?"

From the same movie.."If that guy's a 13, I'm Arnold Palmer!"

son let me tell ya something. The world is full of sandbagger's. You probably know some where you work. The fact they have money has little to do as long as they pay their bills.. He has a bill of 15 mil. coming due. He's good for it.

Casey is also looking out for his amateur partner and trying to help him win. Absolutely the correct call.

Listening to Phil he seemed more concerned with hitting his tee shot on 18 than anything. He told the official “then I can hit an iron of 18 and then you can call it”. Is he especially worried about that tee shot?

Paul winning tomorrow would be the story of the year!

I like Paul. But at this point he doesn’t deserve it. Can’t blow a lead like that and then play the “ it’s dark card “ and then if Phil implodes and you get in a playoff and win not think yourself cheap . Only way he can win now and it be clean is to hole this putt .... birdie 17 and eagle 18. Fat chance. But if he does that. Sure. Great comeback. If Phil hit one in the ocean on 17 and 18 and loses in a playoff. No not cool. My opinion of course. Knowing Paul is a great guy tells me he would agree with what I’m saying. He doesn’t want to win by trickery and hope for a Phil crick in the neck tomorrow etc.

You're right. I was thinking from my perspective, but we don't ever get to actually play. Manservant haha.

****** from FedEx is even bigger sandbagger than most know. His actual GHIN is 15.3 !

Committee at Pebble did an "adjustment" on a lot of ams this year after Fitzgerald's antics. Looks like it wasn't enough for Dirty Don Colleran.

Remind me of what Fitzgerald did last year cap wise

Was wondering that. Now if momentum shifts and something happens on 17 he’ll likely have to hit driver - Pacific seems to be Casey’s main hope, but anything could happen at 17 for sure. Enjoyed watching that unfold and everybody said the right things. Just guessing Phil was feeling good about his chances on 17 with Casey already having trouble seeing. Ran a good bluff.
