Fly Tucan!! Fly!

The little bird won the battle. I wonder how much commission he’s paying to the person that put him up to complaining publicly?? LOLOLOL!!

I sure hope he doesn’t end up dead in a ditch or his family kidnapped for ransom now that all the dirtbag gangsters in Mexico know he’s got a big chunk of cash coming his way. Yikes. Kinda scary actually.

Very disappointing to see that he caved. Hope tucan never gets a pro's bag again.

Caved? Caved into doing the right thing? lol...

Friggin PermaGrin has to be arm twisted to be decent. Too funny!

Yes, caved. People cried and bullied and he caved.

Sad that that's what it took for him to do the right thing I'd say. lol...

Don't care. He's not doing it out of the goodness or his heart, or because he thinks it's right. It's because he's caught a ton of s*** for it and was probably "encouraged" by the Tour and his agent, etc. If he really thought this was the right move, it would have been done months ago. This is purely a CYA move. I still feel the way I did about it yesterday.

But whatever. Move on.

Good for him.

The earlier comments backfired - I’m blaming that partly on Steiny’s in the face strategy, but it was a bold move, if calculated. If off the cuff from Kuch, then not so bold, more like should have not said anything.

It was his decision to pay what he thought the agreement was - no problem. It’s his decision to pay more - no problem.

Kind of a no win situation for Kuchar once it got out; pay now and those who admired you for sticking to your guns think less of you for caving, while those who thought you should have paid in the first place will say you're only doing it to save face

I agree. Say what you will about 'bold moves' on Kuchar's side. But I'd say Tucan gets the 'bold move' trophy. Good stuff!

No it could have been handled January 12th the same way and it would have been over..... Say he was caught up in the euphoria, didn't think it through and realized he was wrong......

But no doubling down and his follow-up comments were so tone deaf and disgusting, he brought it on himself.

He is only doing it to save face, especially when you read his comments regarding the matter from earlier.

Mostly PING clubs, with TaylorMade woods.

I had to lol at some of the posters in the other thread where they thought the 5k was fair. And, while I'm a lurker, I valued a lot of these guys opinions. 3k plus undetermined percentage of winnings and they thought a 2k bonus was a fair number. Come on now. If it was agreed at the beginning of the week it was 5k regardless then fine. But a 2k bonus for a win when the guy hasn't won in like four years is clown show material. To even argue the caddie didn't do his fair share to help bring the guy to the winner's table doesn't make sense. Guy hasn't won in forever.

Glad he's doing the right thing and it's pretty much over.

All these comments about SJWs...

1. Isn't that political? Not what we're here for.

2. Wouldn't you want society to have your back if you were wronged?

Don’t think anyone was wronged in this case. There was an agreement made, and one side walked away unhappy upon reflection. Both were adults and both were mentally competent. It would have been great for Kuchar to have been more generous but he had no obligation to. Kuchar looks cheap in this, and the caddy looks like an extortionist. Nobody won in this deal and my bet is that the 45k the caddy got out of doing this won’t be worth the headache he has to deal with for the rest of his life being known as the “Kuchar guy”. Just my $0.02.

The max he could make based on their agreement was $4k. Kuchar added $1k because I’m sure he didn’t expect to win. But there was no agreement regarding percentage of winnings.
