Real? Fake? Limited napa

There is an article out there comparing the performances of a fake SC vs a real and there wasn't much difference in their "testing". So would there be a performance difference? Maybe, but I think that solely depends on the person using it. The issue that I think most people overlook is you are just feeding the fake market if you buy (or trade) for one. It wouldn't stop the issue of fake clubs (and other items) being out there, but you wouldn't be contributing to it.

I can't imagine having a known fake in my bag. I'd be afraid it would infect my other clubs. Bad juju.

I'd be afraid someone would grab my bag from the bag drop after my round while I'm having a beer, because they overheard my b.s. story and thought they could make off with my "expensive" putter. This is reason number one why I'll never understand guys that knowingly buy fake Scotty CT headcovers from Asian websites to put on their $300 OTR putter. Just asking someone to swipe that thing thinking they got a $3,000 Circle T because you put a $25 DHGate cover on your Newport Select.

Hahaha! Yes. When I played an OTR Scotty Newport a few years ago, ( before I found my awesomely hideous ghost spider), I deliberately put a generic unmarked headcover on it specifically so no one would have any interest in it while I wasn’t watching my bag.

I do this with all of my covers!

I have a couple personalized covers I've had made, for similar reasons. They're meaningful to me, but I doubt anyone else is going to see them and think there's an uber expensive putter under them.
