Callaway Hex Tour Soft (Costco)

I'm not sure what the compression is-but I'd guess between 50-60. It is the latest greatest Super Hot 55--which I like. It feels softer, but I am pretty sure that is from an ever so slightly thinner cover. which allows for an ever so slightly larger core, and ever so slightly more distance. If they were hawking this thing in the open Market they would be claiming more distance and touting it as working man's Chromesoft, or a Super Hot 55+, or something similar. It is a three piece ionomer ball. If any of you remember the old Nike Vapor Black, that would be a good comparison for feel and launch, whereas the distance is like that of the Callaway Super Hot 70-----not to be confused with the Rock-Like Supoer Hot Bold.

I tried a sleeve of the HTS a friend gave me. IMO they’re not even as good as Top Flight DT Feel balls from Dick’s that you can get for $10 per 15 balls during their flash sales.

That's because they are. Compression is higher that ProV1x and TP5x!

> You forget we have to wait in traffic, try to find a parking space in a busy lot. Perhaps lug the kids along to the old rat maze that is Costco. Try to force ourselves not to buy $200 worth of crap in bulk that is just going to go bad because we cannot eat/use it in time. All to get a good deal on a golf item at the front of the store.

> Wait 15-25 minutes in line behind the hordes of people.

> Then wait 10 more minutes at the Costco stoplight to wait in some more traffic to go home.

It's the exact same gong show at Costco's up here as well

That must suck, but lucky for me I signed up for auto renewal. I also shop at Costco with a purpose, bring a list and stick to it.

Picked up a double dozen of the Callaway Hex Tour Soft golf balls today for $19.99 in Northwest GA. My buddy is using them and has never beat me. I usually beat him 5 strokes or so. He played within 2 strokes one outing, one stroke the next outing and beat me by one the next. He's driving the ball further than any of the other brands he was using.....so he took me to Costco since I'm not a member and bought another 2 dozen at $19.99 and I did as well. Plan on trying them this weekend or at the latest Monday am playing against him!! It's a 4 piece ball by the way.

I'm all about getting bang for your buck on balls, but to me getting the Kirkland urethane cover balls is a much better deal than those.

I'm a Vice man myself and am aware on the manufacturing inconsistencies with Kirkland. But Callaway have their own issues with their tour ball so I have a feeling these would only be worse.
