I can definitely feel your frustration. However, when sending payment via PayPal Goods & Services outside of eBay, you are still 100% protected as a buyer. Payal owns eBay or the other way around. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT send this seller money via Venmo. The fact that he's requesting payment via Venmo sounds shady, but maybe he's a good person/seller and doesn't know how things work for buyers. I also don't know why he won't just accept payment through ebay. Weird all around. Don't take any chances, but as long as you're sending via PP goods and services, you're protected on your end. It's when the seller talks a buyer into paying in unprotected ways where problems come about.

Sounds fishy to me. Plus I’ve never heard of that brand before. I had to Google it and I guess he was some Japanese Pro who played in the 70’s and 80’s. Which puts those irons at 30-40 years old??

Definitely stay far away from any transaction here, way too many red flags. Report it to EBay that seller requested payment outside of them and move on.

Found some rumblings about it on some Japanese blogs and translated: "In the early 90 's, as a model of Iron' s master, Haruo Yasuda, it was sold at a price of 400,000 in that price (should be). This Ku Yasuda Haruo Love was made by Miura Giken and it is a gem filled with the muscular back technique of the time at that time. Because it was not a big name club like Mr. Nakajima Takayuki's "TN-87" or Jumbo Ozaki's "MTNIII" (not saying Mr. Yasuda is not famous ...), because of expensive pricing It seems that it did not circulate."

There is a set just like this on Yahoo Auctions in Japan. I've seen a few of these sets float around on auctions.

Very strange about the seller though. I saw a set go late last year for around $350US. The one posted however, is fetching premium pricing. Hope you can get it. Beautiful clubs

They are not that rare, on yahoo auction a lot as mentioned. That price is good for sure but not earth shattering. I am 90% sure they are Miura....I almost bought them like 3 times from yahoo auction but wouldn't go over 300 and they always did.. that said, sucks about the situation, I wasn't just scammed by a low feedback ebayer on non golf stuff....I won't do it again. You really can't go off ebay, ebay had to step in for me.....good luck.

  • 7 months later...

HI, I recently bought a set of this IRONS 3-PW and they are excellent. I play with Cleveland blade irons CG1 CMM that are very very sweet when you hit the ball properly (feels like butter melting in a hot pan, yes im a chef).

Anyways, The Miura made special edition Haruo Yasuda are excellent, again, and mines are the serial number HY0000 meaning that its the first one ever produced, probably played by Haruo Yasuda itself.

I changed the grip (not myself) for LAMKIN CROSSLINE MIDSIZE only in the 7 IRON so far, just to give it a try with decent grips. The original ones are not too consumed by use, but time made them super dry and I was wondering if this would make this irons decrease in value after changing all the grips.

ANYWAYS; I don't care, even if you are a collectionist, golf clubs should be playable, and I enjoy using them a little bit.

I´m quite scared about playing a tournament with this clubs, as im used to my Clevelands (I played with the TA7 before the CG1 CMM)

If anyone is interested in buying my HARUO YASUDA let me know, I can send pictures and if you want to try them out, im in north Italy.

Might be selling them before Christmas. The grips only costed around 150 euros with the replacement included. I would be open to receive offers.

Thanks for the information before, I read this blog previous purchasing this clubs, so now im coming back with the feedback on them.

in general words, I would say they feel better than my Cleveland and they are not better than the news models of MIURAS, but you can tell theres a lot of magic here.

Recently received a set of Haruo Yasuda Special Edition irons 2-AW. These were bid for on the Jauce Auction site in Japan. The clubs came in exactly as advertised without any hassles, and surprisingly a lot less cost than it was advertised on EBay.

A few months I also received a Miura Hayate 5-wood that was advertised as used on the Jauce Auction. It arrived in what I consider to be "new" as I could not find a single mark on.

Therefore, I recommend Jauce Auction. Bascically, the seller sends the item(s) to the Jauce warehouse where it is inspected to verify the sellers claims of condition, packed and shipped. There are some commissions involved but worth for the peace of mind.
