Tour Edge Exotics in all things Fairways... even their Hybrids are insane.

Still have the CB4 15° FW and 19° hybrids...

I grabbed a CB5 but ended up going back to the CB4.

I’m now debating on a new(er) TEE 3/4W and looking at the CB Pro F2 or the CBX 119

Nike Str8t Fit w/ Accra Dymatch 2.0 MT60
TEE CB4 15* Fujikura Rombax 7V05
TEE CB4 19* Matrix Studio 94
Adams CMB w/ Recoil Prototypes 110 F4 4-GW
Miura 1957 55C Modus3 Tour 120
Fourteen MT28V5 60* Modus3 Tour 120

Ping Eye 2+ for me... honestly if they had made the 9 & PW smaller with less offset, I would play BeCu  Eye 2+'s for the rest of my life.

Orlimar Tri-Metal: I was in college working at Nevada Bob's in Portland, OR, when these came out.  They were the most expensive fairways out there and we couldn't keep them in stock.  Guys would come in one weekend, look them over, grumble about the price, and then reluctantly walk out the door with one.  Then they would come back in the next Saturday and happily buy two more.  If they were made by Callaway, TM, Titleist, or Ping and had decent shafts, they would have gone done in history as the greatest ever.

Tour Edge c721/HZRDUS Smoke Red RDX

Cleveland Launcher XL Halo 3 wood/UST Elements MK
Ping g410 4h Tensei blue, Ping g425 6h Tensei orange

Maltby TS3 6-Gap w/Nippon N.S. Pro 1050GH

SnakeEyes 685BX 52*/Callaway Jaws Raw 58Z

TP Mills Sycamore Hakd Made, flow neck pencil shaft, 342 grams, Grip Master Roo FL27

Carbon Ringo wide-flange, slant neck, 330 grams

I have a set of Ping Eye 2.  I am not familiar with Ping Eye 2+.  So, even with the modern technology of clubs, you are still a fan of the Ping Eye 2?  Just curious as I am an "old" beginner.

The "+" model followed the regular Eye 2 in 1990(ish).  They looked very similar in shape at address, but had a much different sole and had the new groove design after the USGA and Ping settled their lawsuit over the square grooves the USGA was trying to ban.  The best of both worlds was the "+ no +" models that were made during the lawsuit.  They had the new sole design of the + model with the original lofts and square grooves of the original Eye 2.  Unfortunately, during this production run Ping only made them in steel, not the BeCu.

I have always thought the long irons in these sets were sooooo easy to hit, plus what looks better in someones bag than a set of the copper heads?

Had a 14+ and a 20+ and played them off and on for 15 years - sold them last year.

Odyssey White Hot Rossie.  Still game it 20 odd years later.  Also throw in any 588 wedge.  The forged are my favorite, but any will do.

Agreed.  Still using mine, although I have only had it for ~9 years.  Great putter, hard to replace.

I had no idea that Orlimar Trimetals were desirable.  I see 'em all the time at thrift stores and always pass them up.

I guess I should add the rest of the "DD's all time cult club bag:"

r510 TP

'07 Burner TP (by exactly one tiny hair over the V Steels)

Nickent 3DX Genex (by one sentimental hair over the OG RBZ's)

731 PM's

Ping Eye 2+ Sw

Ping Eye 2 Sw

Ping Anser

I find it interesting that, for me, the top of the bag is so TMAG heavy and the bottom of the bag so PING heavy!

So I had the 731’s and am now in possession of the two wedges and an OG RBZ 3h.

So, yeah, my All Time cult Classic bag is going to end up being my lefty bag as well, lol!

I probably won’t ever add the Anser as a putter to some serious alignment issues when I switch over to left-handed putting with that head shape (but of course I own one right handed!). But I am on the hunt for the 510 driver and one of the two TM fairways.

This is really, really stupid.......

The Exotics fairways are (deservedly) talked up a lot around here in threads like this.   But don't sleep on their older hybrids either.  My original XCG 16* hybrid is such a great club.  2008 titanium cup-face technology.  Long, versatile, easy to hit.  Have tried multiple times, on and off, to replace it with various fairway woods, and it just won't give up its spot in the bag.

This was the first club I ever hit where i immediately picked up 15 yards. They definitely had a cult following in the early to mid 90’s

My college driver.  R7 425 TP, Rombax 7z08.  That thing dropped absolute bombs, there's no way I'd want any part of it now though lol.

I have one in my basement, the z708x is a great shaft. What a great looking head the 425tp was. Its not that unfriendly as I hot it last week at the range. Still produces a great flight with good ballspeed.
