I have a combo set 699/699 Pro that I'm going to put up on the BST soon. Still in the 60 day return policy but don't feel right taking advantage. They are GREAT clubs but I got them for fun while waiting for my i210s.

Obviously, it's your choice, but I'm sure they won't mind taking them back... they want you to like them, that's why they have the 60 day policy.

They will also just sell them used on their own site, and still make a profit.

Mine came in today. Immediately threw them in the bag and went to the range.

9&PW in 639 MB felt great. 8-5 CB are also great. Struggling a bit with the 3 and 4 but I know that's me and not the clubs, always had a 4, the 3 is new but I prefer irons to woods and needed some more length on the top end (I play pretty traditional lofts with PW at 47* and 7 at 34*).

Shafts are the Dynamic Gold x100s in X +1"/+1*. I can't wait to get them out on the course for a round hopefully this week. It will be interesting to see how they do in less idea situations but so far the feedback from the club has been great on mishits and I somehow find them more forgiving that my G5's. The much smaller sole feels like I get through the turf better when things get a bit chunky.

The 699 Pros were great. It will be hard to beat my Srixons because I was fit into them at True Spec and they have custom shafts and the whole nine. It seemed like my Srixons were going a touch higher/longer, but I'll need some more shots to be sure.

That being said, I just adore black clubs and the Sub 70 clubs look great. I will likely play them a couple more rounds before I decide what to do with them.

My 4 hybrid and pro 4 wood arrived last night. Seven days from order to doorstep. TGIF for me. Lots of great stuff in the nice packaging as everyone describes. Build is perfect.

They look real good. Like the dimensions on both. The 4 wood oozes versatility. I’ll snap some photos outside tomorrow with a ball at address so those interested can get an idea on head size. These clubs look even better than the photos on the site. Very sleek and cool.

The 4 will be fine, I just need to get used to it. I'm not really a big fan of utility irons so will probably practice the 3 until I get used to it as well. I'm tall so long irons aren't all that bad for me to hit in general, it's hopefully an adjustment period. First time out in about a month today as well so that didn't help.

Just Ordered!  AMAZING and I mean amazing Customer Service.  Spent the last 40minutes with Cody the sales manager.  He was professional and well spoken.

Customized my order to my specs, and answered a critical question without batting an eyelash!

I am excited and looking forward to my order showing up!  Cant wait to test them out! Thanks Sub70!

Slightly worn away, but more than it appears with the glare. It’s a demo club so I’m sure it’s seen a ton of use. In that pic I wanted to show the similar leading edge relief on both clubs. The wear and glare is along this leading edge relief.

Thx for the pic.....I was gonna say they look near identical, less the cavity......and that grind on the leading edge is a nice touch.

What did you order?

I haven’t had a bad interaction with sub70 staff... they all seem to be engaged with getting things done right... i got into the weeds on something and they sent me to ceo Jason. He was fun to talk to and more important, his recommendation was spot on.

its a small thing, but I went to a fitting elsewhere and we were stuck between the s300 and the x100... I liked the x100 better, but my numbers were worse... fitter hemmed and hawed... Jason said, oh, I have the s400, just do that...

and maybe that’s an easy fix, but it wasn’t given to me as an option at my other fitting...

639 MB/CB Combo,

PW-8iron MB's

7-6 CB's

PX 6.0's

Weakened PW  to 46*

9-6iron Weakened 2* each club.

ZERO issues. SUPER professional.  Very knowledgeable and down to earth to talk to.  My biggest concern was shipping since I live in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

Wasnt an issue, he was like if its not within our free shipping it isnt much and it wasnt much. Less than a sassy drink from inside the club house LOL.

The other portion I was concerned about was the tweaking of lofts, nope he said they usually are comfortable up to 3* each club.  MY personal concern was the loft flow and the offset with the MB's  per my sig I play Amp Cell Pro's with minimal offset. With me weakening the lofts I bet these will be spot on!

CANT WAIT!!!!!

I'm running the same combo PW-9 MB, 8-3 CB

They're all weakened except 3,4,5 and the offset is very minimal. My guess is you'll be comfortable with it. That being said, I got them in black so it probably makes it a bit less noticeable.

Ordered a short set (6-PW) of the 699 Pros in black. I've always wanted black irons, figured this would be a fun and inexpensive way to play with a black set. I'm going to give them a try tomorrow, they look sweet and the price was right! Got them with KBS TGI shafts (special order) and my preferred Pure Pro grips.

I'll give a quick review on them tomorrow.

IMG_1013.JPG

Which weight KBS shaft did you go with and do you know what the swingweight came out to? I called Sub70 directly about trying to get a 699 Pro to a D2 swingweight with a 70/80 gram graphite shaft. Was told it wasn't possible at the steel shaft playing length (-.5") unless you went w/ like a 25gram grip.

I went with KBS TGI 70, and I'm not sure about the swing weight, it wasn't on the specs anywhere. They feel good though, at least a D0 in my opinion, which is what I was hoping for.

Awesome, thank you! I'm assuming you went with their recommended +0.5" shaft length recommendation for graphite?

I did not, I went standard length as I'm a 5'9" woman. Maybe the extra 1/2 will bump you up a little on SW.

A Sub 70 person told me today they “fully expect” more left-handed offerings in 2021. I know news along these lines has been mentioned already; just sharing as an additional data point in case it’s of interest.

Oh man I’m champing at the bit to pull the trigger but being in Vancouver will have to wait for the borders to open up to have them shipped to my PO Box on WA.
Those of you who bought the 639MBs, how do they compare being 2 degrees stronger vs your traditional blades?

I had them weakened so they're not stronger. I don't need the extra distance.

SIAP, they have some new wedges coming out this fall. They look nice. According to their comments, they will have different bounce options in the JB line.

I reached out yesterday as well hoping for wedge availability.  They seemed very positive that they will be out before end of year, these will be the new 286 series.  Excited to order them ASAP.

Still in love with my 699s!

After getting my loft/lies adjusted, I can say the 699 are absolute money. No further than my previous iron set, but I've had some mishits that still get to the distance I'm playing for. My accuracy has definitely taken a step up as well. The 939X 3H kind of works like a driving iron for me, a dependable, low & straight 200-220 yard tee shot, or a low running shot as a layup/2nd into a par5

I bet that is a killer combo. The KBS TGI shafts are so good. I keep hoping sooner or later someone will make the 90s or 95s stock graphite offerings. Only one I’ve played in irons or hybrids is the 80 and I thought it was great, but I felt like I needed the 90 or 95.

Well pulled the trigger on a used set of the 699 pros with modus 120 stiffs.   My ctaper lites are just too harsh of feel and looking for something different.  I demo'd the 699 and enjoyed them although slightly too big for my taste and think the 699 pro should be just about right.   Added a 4 hybrid in the 939x version as well as my cobra f7 hybrid just spins too much.  Excited to hit them and will report back once they come in and try to make a comparison.

The 699 Pro demo clubs are scheduled to arrive today. Hoping they are delivered early enough that I can get to the range for a bucket. Planning to play 2 rounds later this week to see they perform on the course as well. Sub70 ran out of demo clubs and they kind enough to shaft up 2 new heads 🙂
