I really am looking forward to them releasing their driver offerings, a 7 wood fairway option would be nice as well.

I have never hit the forged irons.  But here is the JB wedge RAW after 1 range session and 1 round.  Also next pics are my PW.  Normal at address you cant see the marks but if I tilted it in good lighting to shine off the marks you can see the other pics. thumbnail_IMG_0417.jpg.60de21dd3c38c3212f480bbf20cd04b8.jpgthumbnail_IMG_0420.jpg.ab42dd977743a00d13dc04ebbd996277.jpgthumbnail_IMG_0421.jpg.93904bae2d82eb17d3ef0bff34f7c112.jpgthumbnail_IMG_0419.jpg.d4ff7ec8bbfa52248727f6a9ad1b719a.jpg

Do you mind taking a pic of the 58 at address and a pic of the bottom toe to heel? Debating picking up 52/58 raw but wanted to see at address and how the grind looks.

Thanks! Helpful. Do you have any feedback on opening the face and hitting shots? A few reviews I saw on YT said it was hard to hit out of sand or tight lies cause of the squarer leading edge.. I am not certain I believe that, but I also prefer a squared look.

It's not as easy to open up say like a PM grind.  But it does open up easier then my Glide 2.0 SS because the sub70 has a little more heel relief on it.  For slightly open face shots I'm finding it easier to hit higher shots then my glide around the green for sure.  I struggled a little with the Glide and an open face.  I have only hit a few bunker shots in really fluffy sand and they came out nice and easy so can't comment too much yet.

It's been discussed but there aren't any immediate plans to do that at this time. Very small market demand and if we did develop one it would likely be done using a game improvement style iron similar to our 739s

Thanks for the response. I recognize it's a small market, and it's always the question of whether it's worth jumping in to be one of only a very small number of companies servicing that market (Cobra, Wishon, and Edel) and carving out your own DTC niche there, or it just being not enough to go around--and probably harder to penetrate w/o a network of certified fitters to evangelize the concept... Obviously your marketing teams know more about this than I do lol 😉

I just know that with the price point and value you guys bring to the game, if you had a single-length 699 Pro they'd probably be in my bag already. 😁

I might have to settle for a couple of Sub70 wedges to go along with whatever single length irons I end up with...

**Update**

I finally took my new 699s out for a round of 18 this past weekend. Irons (especially long irons) have long been a weak part of my game, but these clubs just flat out perform! They feel good across the face, and toe hits are still super forgiving. The cherry on top came when one of my friends who was demo'ing some JPX Hot Metals at the same time came away hating the JPXs but loved every shot he took with my 699s.

I'm basically a walking advertisement for this brand. They're THAT awesome. Once I get some pending gift cards in from my bday, going to order a 5w, 4 hybrid, and matching set approach wedge.

I am a certified club ho and am very very happy with the 649 MB Tours. They feel great, fly great, and a very surprising at how forgiving they actually are. I really am tempted to get the wedges even though I love my MD4s. After watching the TXG video, I kinda want to get the TAs just to try to combo a set! I would love a 4 and 5 in the TA and keep the rest in 649.

Love it man, I did the same thing after watching Peter Fynch guy test the JB wedges, snap ordered real quick.

That TAIII review TXG was awesome so report back your findings.  Hopefully you stripe the 5 iron like the TXG guy did.

Gotta say I'm pretty interested in the 699/699 pro combo set. Anyone a picker of the golf ball and have much success with these? My miss is typically low/toe side

Being the 699 & 699 Pro's are a TPE injected hollow core body, has anyone experienced any "fliers" with these?  Meaning, any distance control concerns on similar strikes that would result in the ball going more than expected out of the fairway.

I came from Callaway XR Pros and I had fliers with those all the time. Especially annoying on tight par 3s. I haven’t experienced any in the short time that I’ve had the 699. It felt weird at first because it kinda feels like you’re losing distance, but really, it’s just seeing your gapping normalize.

I'm hitting more GIRs then ever if that says anything.  These hollow clubs are simply more forgiving around the face.

I have had a few fliers but out of flier lies.  Meaning, in the rough with ball sitting up a little, ball catches a little high on face with some grass between face and ball, ball launches higher and with less spin so it goes farther.

Can anyone speak about the differences between the JB and 286 wedges?

Which one is more similar to a standard Vokey at address? Which one feels better (1020 vs DT-4 steel)? Any differences in spin?

How does 1.5mm of offset compare to other OEMS wedges? Seems high to me?

The JB has a more versatile sole as the 286 has a basic wedge grind. I can’t say what the DT-4 feels like but the 1020 has great forged feel and is a nice crisp feel at impact. I would say the JB has basically no offset from address and definitely has no onset, which I hate. The lead edge is pretty square but has just a hint of curve and looks great to me when opening the face. I spent 45 minutes practicing with it today and I really think I’m gonna love this wedge.

The stated 1.5mm of offset scares me as I prefer little to none. The 649mbs have 0.5mm so going from that to 1.5mm would be very noticeable in the wedges.

Do you know which head is more similar to the OEM offerings? Vokeys/MG2s etc.

the JB would be more similar to those wedges. If I had to honestly give my opinion on the offset, which I don’t like much in my wedges I prefer a very clean edge, I think you would like the JB wedges. To my eye they don’t have an offset look. I tried to show that in my pics best I could how they actually look at address.

Thanks again for those pictures. I don't like that little indentation between the hosel and the face but the leading edge does look good. You have the high bounce? Can you still open it up on tighter lies?

There is no indent it’s just the light reflection. I do have the 12 degree bounce which I prefer more bounce but it is very easy to open and I feel I can be very aggressive into the turf.

In the first 2 pictures there is clearly an indent between the hosel and the heel of the club. I prefer a straight down (zero offset) look. But if the club feels good and performs it's not a deal breaker...
