LUCKY MAN ! That’s awesome.

As breath-takingly fantastic as you expected ?

The whole experience is amazing.  Is the course, itself, worth $600?  It's an absolutely incredible course from start to finish, but probably not.  However, from the moment I arrived through the entire round, I could just feel that I was on hallowed ground.  I've never experienced anything close to that feeling on a golf course.  THAT made it well wort it, in my opinion.  Getting to experience all those shots first-hand I've dreamed about for years was really, really cool.

Yes there is.  Our 949X fairways should be available in the next 4-6 weeks.  We will have 3/4/5/7 wood lofts in RH.  There will also be LH 3/5 wood options.

Have any more details on this you can share? Is the 949x fairway going to be targeted towards the lower handicap player like the hybrid, so basically a replacement for the Pro Tour or something different? I’m looking to replace my 3wood was looking at the Pro but this might change things (though if it’s open by default I’m probably still best off with the Pro).

The next generation of the Sub 70 Fairway wood is universal in its appeal and playability.  The 949x Fairway takes up the mantle of the previous generation in its forgiveness and customizability, while utilizing nascent technologies to improve ball flight, trajectory, and spin characteristics for players in the single to mid-teen handicap category.  Dual sole weight ports allow players to dial in their ball flight and can promote both draw or higher launch bias, depending on the setting.  The attractive carbon fiber crown is lighter than traditional head materials, and allows our engineers to put more weight on the sole, producing a mid to high launch with low spin and thus increasing distance.  The 949x's cupped face shape helps shots stay close to the target line, even on mishits, and its razor thin 455 carpenter steel provides the hottest ball speeds possible off the face.  Still classy and understated, this is a club that everyone can play.

Has anyone noticed any sort of correlation between getting an order confirmation email and having their clubs shipped? I just got my confirmation email, and I’m hoping that means my stuff is getting built.

I got order confirmation emails the same day I placed each of my orders.  Hasn't otherwise been related to build date as far as I can tell.  With my first order (a wedge) I received an email when it shipped 17 days later.  Current order shows as processing, was placed right after Labor Day so no surprise there either, I would guess a build in the next week or two if components are available.

I placed my order for a stock putter (nothing was changed from standard, not even length) on 8/24 and received a confirmation email. I received my putter via UPS yesterday (9/20).

If it helps at all, I believe our assembly team is working on orders from 9/2-9/3 right now

They have drivers, in fact they just recently released their newest model, the 849 Pro. It might just be a lack of availability in Europe that you’re seeing at the moment.

Haha!  Our European distributor should have some drivers in the near future.  I'm not sure on an ETA...it was just delayed due to manufacturing delays and shortages...but hopefully we'll have some over there shortly.  Our 849 Pro model is available now and the higher MOI/less fade biased 849D should be in around the end of the year

I have the 849 Pro driver, and really like it. Watch the TXG video if you haven't seen it. It does setup closed, so I have my 10.5° cranked to 8.5° so it sets up nice and open. Nice, solid sound when struck in the center.

I ordered on a Sunday night, and it shipped on a Thursday, 18 days later.

What driver do you recommend for a high-cap (i.e. inconsistent with face contact) player who happens to have a tendency towards in->out path and draw/hook rather than a fade? 849 Pro or 849D?

Jay,

How do you change the loft on a wedge when ordering? There is no drop down box for that.

I'd sent an email asking a similar question (tweaking loft on one club), it was suggested the way to handle that would be to place the order by calling.

That's an interesting one.  Typically a higher handicap player is going to want the driver that has a higher MOI (more forgiveness) and is draw biased (most higher caps hit a fade/slice).  The 849D isn't going to necessarily be draw/hook biased...it's just more standard and the Pro version is more fade biased.  I would actually lean towards doing the 849D and using the adjustable weights and shaft adapter to tweak it.  If you go with the 849D you'll have more forgiveness across the face and you can still throw the heaviest weight in the toe, adjust the face angle with the shaft adapter, etc.

We removed loft adjustments on the customization drop downs...just too many people getting confused with the +/- situation.  If you ever want to adjust loft, lie angle or any other specs you have two options.  You can call us to place the order.  That's straightforward enough because we can just get all of the specs when the order is placed.  Otherwise you can place the order through our website and then call, email or website message us with the specs and adjustments you need asap.  We just want to make sure we get those notes added to the order before our assembly team starts working on it.

This is what I did. I ordered a 50 degree wedge, and then sent an email asking it to be bent to 49.
