These are the ones I’m interested in… remind me of the Bridgestone DCBs… the irons I fell in love with after the CMBs…

not sure if they are adding something similar to the CMBs… Cavity back with some tungsten in the toe…

Looks awesome . Can’t make out the number but if it’s 639 CB and plays like the current one it’s above my skill set. Plus I love the distance of the hollow body 699.

The reason my current irons aren’t sub70 is because they didn’t have anything between the 639 and 699… the 699 just weren’t what I was looking for as I don’t need any extra distance in my irons.

According to Jason in a Facebook fan group, they are going to be 659s, which will come in "Tour Cavity," muscleback, and "Full Cavity." I'm assuming they will fill that slot exactly between 699s and 639s. I LOVE my 699 Pros, but after taking some lessons recently I've gained enough distance and consistency in ball striking I might be looking to upgrade into whatever the 659 forged cavity turns out to be. They look absolutely sick.

Wow impressive.  I loved my J40 DPC set.  Those were great clubs if they can bring that style back they will have a winner for sure.

A couple of notes...

We're working on a new indoor fitting facility which should open in March. We closed on the building and are working in there every day to get it ready. We'll have some retail space, two hitting bays, a putting green, a bar and a nice hangout area. It will be on State Street/Route 64/North Ave in Sycamore, IL and be open by appointment only. It will be called The Seventy and we're really looking forward to sharing that with everyone once it's ready.

The picture with all of the heads was not supposed to be shared simply because most of that stuff is in the prototyping/testing phase and either requires some tweaks or may not be released at all. They just aren't finished products for the most part. The 659 series will have a CB,  TC (Tour Cavity) and MB.  Those should be available in March.

They all look awesome... I saw it on Reddit, so figured the cat was out of the bag picture wise. Appreciate the follow up!

The 659s look sweet, though... My wife is already aware they might get ordered. Happy to hear they already have a planned release date!

How long did it take for you to hear a status on your order? I placed mine on Jan 1 and have gotten nothing besides my original order confirmation. Not in a rush as there's 5 inches of snow on the ground but just wondering when I can expect to hear a status. Went on the website and I don't see any place to enter my order number besides the "My Account" section which shows nothing for me. Thanks!

We really don't send any updates beyond an order confirmation and then a shipping confirmation once they go out. If you created an account when you checked out you should be able to see the order in there. It should be close though...our assembly team was working on orders from around that date yesterday. If you ever need an update just shoot me an email at [email protected] and I'll take a look. Thanks!

Thank you Jay! Much appreciated!

My last two orders were about 18 days from order date to ship date, but this was in the fall.

I ordered JB wedges on 11-29-21, and didn't get the clubs until 1-6-22. No idea why they took so long.

One would imagine because of Thanksgiving/Black Friday/Christmas/NY being a somewhat busy time of year for both retailers and freighters...

I think a lot depends on time of the year and what is ordered. I placed an order for a new 849D driver and a wedge off the preowned site on 12/24 and received on 12/30. Was able to play with it once and like it so far. Waiting for warmer weather. On a side note they are the best in customer service and respond quickly to emails.

That doesn't make any sense. You ordered your clubs almost a month after I ordered mine, and you got yours BEFORE I did.

I currently have the 639 CB irons in the bag, but find the lofts are too strong and are causing some gapping issues. I know it would close the clubface and lower the bounce if I make the lofts weaker. If I make them 2 degrees weaker across the bag, am I going to seriously compromise the design/performance?

Making the lofts weaker will INCREASE the bounce, not decrease it. Also, changing loft on an iron will not change the face angle.

I mean, he ordered already built clubs sitting in a warehouse.

Getting clubs built to custom specs takes a little more time... reach out to Jay directly... the Sub70 turn around time has always been impressive, but I know they have gotten more busy recently.

The wait will be worth it, even if it's frustrating right now!

I thought lowering loft opened the clubface and increasing it closed it slightly? In any case, will I notice any change in the clubs besides the distances I am trying to hit?

It does, but it doesn't. All you really need to concern yourself with is that the bounce and offset changes. You'll still setup with the face square.

Any chance of heads only ever being an option? Similar to how New Level does it, with heads only being 25% less.

You are an 11 handicap; don't worry about it.

Handicap has nothing to do with offset preference nor does playing blades vs cavity back/hollow irons....some people prefer a certain offset to set up visually correct or just to match swing mechanics to not go left.

And when considering delay time, supply and demand plays more of a role in how quick you get the clubs due to covid.  If they run out of your shaft, then they have to wait to get more.  I got a two week turn around in mid december on a set because the shaft I chose is not popular.
