Any chance of heads only ever being an option? Similar to how New Level does it, with heads only being 25% less.

Likely not… they’ve said they want to make sure the clubs go out the door built properly…

I doubt it. There definitely hasn't been any discussion on that at this point. It would just cause too many issues with our 60 day guarantee and customer service in general

It kills me you guys won't do custom stamping on wedges for this same reason... it makes sense, and it's a niche demand...

Maybe I'll just have to figure out how to stamp my own wedges.

I could use some advice on selecting a fairway model. I have two TS2s (16.5 and 21 degrees) with the Tensei AV Blue 65 Stiff shaft in both, and I'm not in love with either of them. Of the available models, which would do you think would be right for someone with a swing speed in the mid 90s, and a hook for their miss?

For instance, I'm worried that the 949x looks like it has its face closed at address, and I don't need any more help getting the ball to turn over lol.

Same question for a hybrid as well.

Thanks in advance!

I have a 949X 4w. And it is closed. I have mine adjusted 1° open. I find it pretty easy to turn over, but it goes straight on good swings.

If you really don't want to go left, the Pro Tour fairway might be a better option?

I don't believe so but I don't have the specs in front of me at the moment

Bummer. I'd really like to move to a set with weaker lofts to tighten up some gaps, but I think I'll just stick with what I have and learn to gauge my wedge shots better.

As an aside, I just put in an order for the Tour fairway and 949 hybrid. Now the wait begins lol.

Just in time for the price increase

The entire country has seen 15-60% cost increases the past two years. Were we thinking Sub70 was immune to it?

Would you guys classify the face height on the fairway woods as being shallow or deep?   I prefer a shallow face height like  on the Cobras and Pings.   Based on the photos the Sub 70’s look to have a taller face height like Callaway but it is hard to tell.

Based on my limited experience with the Pro Tour - I would say it's deep but still very playable. Not quite RBZ deep (which is what I used to play) but definitely not as shallow as the Ping G410 or Cobra F9 fairways I've had in the past.

Thanks for the info.  I usually gravitate towards Cobra but was thinking I could save some money going with Sub 70.  I have the 699 pro driving iron and love it.   More than likely will order the new Cobra LTD and call it a day.  Thanks again.

Apologies if has been answered but are the potential unreleased irons (cb +699 looking things) plannned to be released? If so, ballpark time frame when?

Companies won't typically tell you when or even if they'll be releasing new items, until they are ready to take orders, or they are in production at least.

Has anyone tried the Low bounce JB wedges?

I'm on the fence between 58 LB (6 degrees of bounce) or 56 LB bent to 58 (reduced offset and 8 degrees of bounce)

Thanks.

Just a warning, these wedges are huge. I got mine recently, and the heads are much bigger than OEM wedges that I have used in the past. With regard to the loft choice, I would say to get the 56º bent to 58º, as bounce is your friend.

Really?!

Is the 286 smaller?

Can you post a picture side by side to a vokey or something similar?

Thanks

Can we get a pic of the wedges next to an OEM wedge? I need to replace my 56* and was looking at these wedges.

According to the Sub70 site, the 286 is even bigger than the JB! As far as pics, I am not computer savvy enough to provide them. If I can find a 10 year old kid to help me, I will post some comparison shots.

I thought I posted one a while back JB vs Glides.  Maybe not I will try this weekend.  Wedge is slightly bigger then most but you get used to it quick unless your really sensitive to the size of your..umm...wedge then I would not worry about it.

There's 57 pages and I'm just getting into this thread so forgive me but is sub 70 I don't know like a secondary market of pxg? Their irons are similar, 699 reminds me of the 0211dc. TA111 remind me of pxg with the weights in the backside.

I'm more and more looking into this company and wanting the cb/mb combo, I'm really liking the looks of them. Anyone here play this combo?

Here are some face traces.  The JB does look much bigger than the trace eludes to, but the 286 seem the same as a cobra wedge, but is slightly bigger when traced out.

PXL_20220122_021759762.jpg

I'm so confused. This tracing makes the JB wedge look way bigger but the Sub70 website lists the dimensions of JB and 286 wedges and the JB is smaller in every way.
