Can anyone provide me some information on the 939x hybrid, likes, dislikes, anything at all?

I'm ready to make the jump to these in a 3,4,5 hybrid.

With the lofts only 3º apart, you may not need all three clubs. You could just get the 3 and 5, and then fiddle with the lofts to get the proper gapping.

I like mine in 3 (18*) and 4 (21*).  My 5 iron (24* 699 pro) is my lowest iron.

5 iron - 185

4 - 195-200

3 - 210-215

I have the proforce v2 in the hybrid and for me these are more of a mid to mid-low launch piercing trajectory.  I have honestly hit some incredible shots in the 200 yard range with my 4 hybrid.   I have also hit some nice shots into a par 5 with the 3 hybrid or off the tee on a short hole.  Hot off the face.

My only random miss with these is a dead push right that I'm trying to figure out?  I know it's a swing thing or maybe I'm setting up with face slightly open or most likely the lighter shaft I'm spinning out my hips to quick but that is a swing problem not a club problem.

Proud to say I will be pulling the trigger on Sub70 irons!  I was looking at SM posts of The 70 pre-opening party.  In the fireplace room, in the corner, there are four college pennants.  One was from UW Oshkosh!  This was the sign I needed to pull the trigger.  @JaySub70 I'll be in touch!

Honestly not sure...each distributor can choose what they do or don't carry. I'd reach out to them and see what they've got. If they don't have it they might be able to order it from us or we could see what it would cost for us to build and ship the stuff to you

Thanks mate I will give it a go - absolutely hyped for the 659s!

seen the 659's last night on another social and they look good just from the pictures. it's always tough buying a new set of irons and then seeing new ones drop from a brand your interested in. i have bought the 939x 5 hybrid recently and will be buying the 4 now that its in stock. i will most likely be giving these 659's a look later in the summer once their out a bit. i gotta say the dtc brands of sub70 and new level are a fantastic way to go, putting out some really nice stuff thats appealing to the eye and really good performance, i highly doubt ill ever go back to the name brands in access of over $1000 on irons and high priced woods.

The 659 CB a hybrid look of some of my favorite irons, the J40 CB and DPC dual pocket cavity!

The bounce numbers look a little low on the 659 CB.  They don't publish the 699 PRO bounce numbers on the website I would be curious what they are.

Behold: possibly my new favorite club in the bag.  I mentioned in an earlier post that I was looking to add some versatility to the top end of my bag, and since my 3 and 5 woods were basically doing the exact same thing for me, I replaced them both with a 4 wood and wanted to try out a utility iron.  The Sub70 ordering process was super friendly and easy as always (and Jason even responded to my original post here with some input), and the club shipped and arrived in a matter of days.

I went out to play 9 solo before work today, and it was perfect timing since a storm is blowing through this morning, so I could test it out a bit in the wind.  I had no idea how it would perform for me since I had never hit a utility iron in my life, but the 4th hole was a short par 4 straight into the wind, so I wanted to hit a few off the tee and see what happened.  My very first swing was thinned and hurt like hell, but I collected myself and put a smoother swing on the second ball, and it absolutely exploded off the face dead straight down the fairway the exact distance I hoped it would.  This thing feels SO good.

The rest of the round I hit one off the tee for practice on every par 4, and by the end of the round I had enough of a feel for it to shape shots a bit and adjust the launch height.  On the 9th I dropped a couple balls in the fairway about 200 out from the green dead into the wind to see how it felt off the turf, and they both launched nice and low and ended up perfectly pin high.  In the past my hybrid and woods would have probably launched too high and spun too much, so the wind would have either knocked them down or carried them way off line.  It also feels so much smoother and hotter than I expected.

I play in a breeze pretty often where I live, so this club is going to be incredibly useful, and I'm happy knowing I made an awesome decision with Sub70's support.  Even with no wind, having a "fairway finder" that gets out there about 220 consistently on target for tight tee shots is so helpful

How will the 659CB compare to the 639CB?  as far as blade size/profile, forgiveness,.and will they have that killed/blunted leading edge like the 639CB?

Also, 👍 for adding an AW to the set!

This goes to anyone who's played sub70 in raw finish....have any pics of what the irons look like after some time with them?

TIA
