Btw when I spoke to Jim today this was our exact exchange:

Him: we don't get a lot of requests for raw irons and wedges

Me: Why do you think I want them?

Lol....WRX did this to me

Haha, I order a set of 659 cb/tc/mb combos a few days ago in raw as well. Hoping they’ll have arrived before I get home from work in 10 days for my week off but I don’t think I’ll be that lucky.

Has anyone found if its worth changing from the 699s to the 699 Pros?

Played the 699s for 2 years now (imported them to the UK before, they were set up here). Really like them, also added a 699 Pro 2 iron , and also have 939X 3&4 hybrids.

FYI a quick data point - I ordered a PXG 0211 DC 7i to test, maybe to consider replacing my 699s as they were on offer. Although not apples to apples with shafts (wasnt paying the upcharge to KBS Tour), the 699s were far better - as long but more consistent, even with the lofts being a whole club less.

Honestly I don't have anything at this point and the release date is still very up in the air. We've been working on an improvement/update since the original model came out. It's been a thorough process which is certainly closer but as far as I know there's still no concrete timeline at the moment

ok this news might answer my question above - i.e might be the perfect time to change up if they look good 🤣

Just saw the hybrid testing from MGS where the 949x took first overall. Anyone have experience with this hybrid as well as the 949X Pro model?

I just picked mine up today along with the 949x fairway wood. I bought a 4 in both. I tried them at a demo day previously. I found them easy to launch an longer than what I had which I had been using previously. I get to try them out for real tomorrow.

Quick Update - been using the 659 CB / TC irons for almost 3 months and still going strong.  They are really amazing and the only tweak I did was some loft adjustment for gapping issues between the 7 and 8 iron.    They are exceptional with great distance, forgiveness and feel.   I could honestly say that I could easily play a full CB set or TC set with no problems.

I usually rotate my clubs 2x during that time period between 0211ST and 0311ST but have not thought about them at all.    Yeah, I am a true WRX'er.

Just got a home a little while ago fro a fitting at the “ The Seventy”. What a cool setup to go to for a fitting. I went in for a new hybrid and fairway wood. My swing was not it’s best but Kevin was patient and gave me some pointers to help me out. It’s my second fitting from Kevin ( he fit me for wedges earlier in the year) and those have worked out great so I’m looking forward to the new clubs. I ordered the hybrid today and in a few weeks I’ll order the fairway wood for my birthday since it’s the big 60. Here is some pics what it looks like inside The Seventy. Excuse my amateur picture taking.B16B6B91-080C-40AC-AA7E-EEAC06A7B876.jpeg.27497974878b12a2177212b888b397c2.jpeg8FB9E2A8-C4E2-486B-9A54-2AE43F8FDAB8.jpeg.19a6cbebbf5298c6f99d3ba938497aa2.jpeg

I visited the Seventy back on the 4th. Such a cool experience. Dan and I hit it off. We probably did more chatting than technical stuff. Already game some 699 Pros with C-Taper 130s. I got some more specifics on specs for whenever I decide to buy another set.

The vibe of the place is pretty neat. Jason was checking the liquor supply on a Thursday morning commenting on how thirsty folks had been that week. I'll probably come back again for a driver fitting someday.

Here you go.   The 0211ST definitely has a smaller profile but the club does not look huge behind the ball.  I am very picky with size of the club head, offset, and top line.    The 659’s are not big at all and actually frame the ball very well.

Awesome!!

Thanks so much for that. Exactly what I was hoping for. I love my 0211ST but I wouldn't mind something a tiny bit bigger. Especially for some extra launch in the longer clubs

Anytime!!    They will definitely launch more with the 659 over the 0211ST's but what is awesome is you can still control the flight easily.

Well I’ve got 3 rounds and a range session in with my 949X fairway wood and hybrid. I have a 4 in both. I knew I’d be impressed because all the Sub 70 clubs I’ve purchased performed as well as I could of hoped for. Both launch so easy and distance is consistently longer than I thought I would get. I get a nice tight draw just about time I use either club. It usually takes a few rounds to feel comfortable with a club but I already feel comfortable with both clubs.

So how would people gap their clubs? I’m going with a 7w from them next year and on the fence on a hybrid as my 4i can get very hooky

How do you like the wedges?

Hard to say because I only chipped for like 10 minutes with the 60 degree. It's a bigger face than I expected but not a bad thing. Reminds me almost of the PM grind wedges from Callaway except not as pronounced a high toe.

Sits low to the ground and very square leading edge like the irons.

I got a ton of spin with it, more bite than my PXG or Vokey but that's probably because it's brand new

Going to have to get me a test club of the CB made up... Looks too good in black, has some vibes of the legendary J40 DPC. Here's to hoping I have the game for them.

Thinking these with some MMT 105 TX soft stepped once or twice would be SWEET.

Never played them so can't really say --Size wise they are pretty comparable to most player's CB's out there on the market.

I've hit them on the range twice now. They are pretty nice feeling but i'm still grooving them.

Well hit shots are really good. Pretty good launch and feel very nice. I think part of the adjustment for me is the KBS shafts also
