staying at the Wynn at the end of October. Was wondering if anyone has played the course and if it worth the money. It looks great but $500 is a little steep.

Most of the Wynn rounds played there were comp, not paid rounds as they use for their good customers.

My buddy played there several times as comp, but I hate to tell you how much he dump there at the blackjack and Bacara tables to get the suite and golf comp.

Yes, it's by far not the top rated golf course arounf Vegas, but it's the only one on the Strip.

We were down there 2 weeks ago and didn't play the Wynn, 500 is absurd for 18 holes of golf.

We did however, play the Sun and Wolf courses at Paiute. They were absolutely 2 of the finest tracks I've played in a very long time. The Wolf is worth the hype. The best part was we played both and had lunch for under 150.00. I'll second the recommendation.

Bear's Best was fun, but not great.

The Falls at Lake Las Vegas was an absolute dog-track, terrible golf course. The construction projects going on there?? An absolute shame IMHO.

Don't forget to roll VIP at the TRYST night club... that place is HOT!! (table service for 2 will cost you couple hundo to have your own table and cocktail waitress, bottle of grey goose, call ahead for reservations)

Legacy isn't bad, but Paiute sounds like the way to go. watch for a change in green fees as its close to high season now

I played at Rio Secco when I was out there in March. Very nice course, there were some beautiful holes. Sometimes its nice just to get away from the strip. I love to gamble, but I get really sick of all the casinos sometimes.

Whatever you do, don't book on one of those "discount" websites or at a booth at the casino. Book through the course directly. They were at least $75 more expensive than what I paid at the course.

The Wynn is not that great of a track. It used to be the Desert Inn and was used in the rotation of the Las Vegas Invitational before better courses came about. Another course that is right on the strip is called Bali Hai. It is expensive, and I don't know if it is worth the $225-$300 that is being commanded. If you want the $500 experience, then go to Shadow Creek or Cascata. Cascata is about a 45 minute drive from the strip. Take 93/95 towards Boulder City. Get off on the Needles exit and turn left. The Legacy is a good play for the price. I played high school golf on that course back in '92 - '93. I also would recommend Rio Secco or the Paiute courses. The Angel Park courses aren't too bad either if you decide not to drive a long ways. TPC of Summerlin is right down the street from Angel Park along with TPC at The Canyons or Badlands. If you like target golf, Johnny Miller designs, then this is a good course for you. I personally hate the course as it isn't my style of golf. If you can try to get on at Stallion Mountain and play the West course. It is playable to all skill levels with 5 or 6 different tees.

Good Luck on your trip.

    • In-hand photos of 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus, Stealth 2, Stealth 2 HD drivers + fairways woods
Check out our front page launch stories here and here.

What you need to know: For the first time, carbon is the most prevalent material by volume in a TaylorMade driver, and more carbon equals better performance, says the company. Last year, TaylorMade debuted a 60X Carbon Twist Face. With TaylorMade Stealth 2, engineers are bringing carbon to more of the golf club — and unveiling a new-and-improved Carbon Twist Face in the process. Stealth 2 Plus (low spin, most workable) Stealth 2, and Stealth 2 HD (draw bias, high launch, most forgiving) drivers make up the Stealth 2 family.

What you need to know: Breakthrough movable weight technologies and versatile designs are the hallmarks of the 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 fairway woods. Stealth 2 Plus is branded as “three fairway woods in one” owing to the unique performance characteristics afforded by the 50-gram sole weight. Stealth 2 features a slightly lower profile 3D carbon crown than Stealth. This moves CG down and away from the toe with more weight in the rear of the club for higher launch and MOI. Ultra-high MOI Stealth 2 HD features an oversized 200cc head and low-profile sole, creating an easy-to-hit, draw-biased club.
