Callaway Epic Flash Sub Zero - Is this Real Life????

Funny how this game is I had actually opposite results as my ts3 is about 10 yards longer and more forgiving than the calls flash sz. Just goes to show you need to get proper fitted the above post that someone spun the ts3 at 3700 is insane.

To be perfectly honest I got excellent "best" numbers with all the recently released drivers; TS2/3, F9, M5/6 (they didn't have the 410 out yet). ALL of them within a few yards of each other.

But the EFSZ, with a couple of different shafts, got my best numbers more often and with far better dispersion consistency than any of the others. None of the others came close to the EFSZ,,,,,,,,,, for ME,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

This driver has given me the confidence to just, let it go, pick a shot shape and swing freely. This is far and away the longest and most consistent driver I've had - i shot 67 today, hitting 6/14 fairways...but was close enough to the green off the tee to get 13/18 greens in reg and not a single one in a bad position or 'jail' bc of a tee shot.

And the shaft pairing is just, ?

truthfully, i might buy another full set of the same setup and just have em in the backup bag ready to go. i imagine the IZ would be awesome in the 5w...let me know what you think bout it...sub zero or std?

I went standard because of the same reasons you mentioned earlier, softer landing and not really needing it for a off the tee club. Something that will fly sort of highish and not roll out too much.

I understand the relationship between sound and feel has a very strong correlation, and I have to preface my comment with that, because the triple diamond feels almost metallic. But not metallic like hitting a dinger with a baseball bat back in the days, more of a tinny sound/feel. Hoping melt can make it more "solid".

hot melt could definitely take some of that sound out

Yes; loving mine. Love the head shape of the Flash SZ. Inspires much more confidence than my Rogue that looked "stretched out" from front to back if you will. I did love the performance of my Rogue. My dispersion is about the same with the Flash but I've picked up a few yards on mis-hits. And I like to tinker! As many have said, when you find the right shaft all of today's current drivers CAN BE fairly similar so there's no reason to force something that doesn't inspire confidence when you look down at it.

I'm certainly not in a position to spend $900 on a driver set up, but as soon as I can grab a EFSZ head for less an $250 I'm making the switch.

I have really soured on the Flash SZ. My driving has been really poor this year -- I've really struggled with misses in both directions, and how cost myself a lot of shots with penalties resulting from poor tee shots. I've tried 3 different shafts, different settings with the adapter, moving the sliding weight around, etc, and nothing seems to help. I've lost confidence in my ability to hit it where I want it to go, and my game as a whole has really suffered. I'm probably switching to a G410 LST or back to my OG Epic SZ.

I fell in love with the ball speed and spin numbers with the Flash SZ, but it hasn't translated on the course.

I have to add to the original poster, I posted how good the ts3 has been for me and still is, I got a chance to hit the Callaway Flash with a HC Project X red and yellow and I have to say I was impressed, for what ever reason the red HC was a missle launcher. Now thinking about a purchase lol.

Haven’t played a Callaway driver since the Hawkeye Pro. Happened to be on CPO today and found an EFSZ in 9* with an AD-DI 6 in it in Like New for $422.

Currently playing an M3 440 for the last two seasons and well...WRX.

Had a chance to Demo this driver at my club. Could not believe the ball speed this thing generates. Makes my 2016 M2 feel like I'm hitting a persimmon wood. But you really have to hit it dead center to see how fast the face is. That being said, I found it be pretty forgiving otherwise. Now I just need to sh*t $500

Been playing mine all season - I'll be buying a second as a backup soon. Hottest face with the best dispersion and forgiveness on mishits I've ever seen in a driver. Had 3 drives today over 330, all on flat ground and no downwind bs. #epic
