I'm watching but so far haven't caught as much of the event as I'd normally try to.

Where has Suri been?

His ranking has suffered a little as he got as high as #60 but slipped back to #102. Apart from his nightmare on the last at the French Open he always looks solid when in the mix.

Surgery for an abdominal tear I think. Brutal back nine, struck it nicely but a few dodgy chips from tough positions lower than the green sunk him today.

I missed seeing the quad Suri had on 14.

Credit to Stephen Gallacher he finished strongly.

Some of those holes have features I’ve never seen on others. Looks a tough test with the winner being only -9 or something.,

Bummed for Suri. Was hard to watch that quad. I was rooting so hard for the fella.

I have no idea what he does for his psychology when playing under pressure but feel this is maybe the last thing he needs to control to really hit that top 50 OWGR consistently and get on the PGA. Of course I’m talking way out of my backside with no knowledge of the man and his team. It’s a tough sport.

It would be great to hear your thoughts on this Dan but totally understand that this may not be the place to discuss it and we certainly are not entitled to know.

He’s young, better mentally than not would think. Definitely needs to get more consistent with the putter. He’d be top 50 right now had he not gotten hurt. He skipped 3 maybe 4 no cut events with huge world ranking points because injury and was top 60 when he got hurt

I watched some of the coverage yesterday and today. It is one of my favourite courses in the world for the scenic views. I love the difficulty of it. One of the many reasons the European Tour stages out for me. The venues, courses and difficulty are incredible. The 18th at DLF is one of my favourite holes. I'd love to see the so-called "big names" on these courses to see how good they are.

Absolutely delighted for Stevie G though. Played out his skin to make the 2014 Ryder Cup Team, struggled and then got hit by injuries for a couple of years. His second into the 18th, 4 iron from 239 yards, was like the Stephen Gallacher of old. Very well done and secures his card a while longer.

Bummer was really rooting for Suri to win. His game is so much more solid (not to mention physically he's stronger too) it's not even funny. Looks like he just needs more reps in. Matter of time before he wins a couple and gets into the PGA tour. It's a big change though when he gets there. Look at Tommy Fleetwood who was basically dominating the Euro tour but hasn't been able to win. Playing well but hard to win against guys who can take apart a golf course.

It provides compelling drama, which makes it very watchable, but that course is just terrible.

The riveted bunkers. The stacked stone. The multi tier greens. It’s all just so staged.

And not to mention grossly unfair.

But it is different. I’ll say that in its favour
