Here is my back yard green. Originally self installed 20 years ago with the help of some of my students. I've replaced the carpet 3 times (it was originally was surrounded by grass and the sprinklers left hard water deposits) When I had the back yard professionally done,4 years ago, I hired a company to replace the turf. They didn't have to touch the base so it was pretty simple. After a few years the polypropylene had UV oxidation (don't believe them they all do) But a couple $5 bottles of car trim (also pp) renewer brought it back to new. Initially it was slick but a couple passes with a light pressure washer and a rainstorm solved that problem.

Let me know if you have any questions. BTW I live in Sacramento with hot summers but no snow.myh9utar9dac.jpg

I don't have a backyard putting green, but since I live only a few minutes from my course I could never justify the cost. What I do have is a house located next to vacant land. From my front yard I have room to hit up to driver, and I put stakes at 50, 100, and 150. It's uphill but I measured them with a slope laser. Every week or so I pick up the balls. My lot is an acre and going the other way is a down hill 60 yard shot to my horse trailer. My front yard is big enough for chipping so I got one of those bullseye nets. It's nice for when I get the urge to make a few full swings and don't want to get dressed up for the range.

Here’s one half. Have 2 more greens on top of hill behind me where picture is taken from. My father n law built it for my son when he got in golf as a youngster and played throughout his high school career and we still use it regularly.

Here’s a picture of the other two I mentioned. We were mowing today and so snapped a photo.

You guys have some awesome setup! Mine is just a simple one in our basement. Helps a lot since I cannot play and practice a lot.

Made a modification.

Seeing all the setups with hitting areas, I jerry-rigged this on my squat rack so I can hit foam balls and work rotational drills to try to eliminate my horrible push/slide.

Sorry, no pictures. I have a small mat that I use to practice swing fundamentals without interference from a golf ball. And then I have a small net-basket, which I use to practice short game. I stand typically 4-5 yards away and try to hit it into the basket.

I use burg frequently, typically once or twice every afternoon when I’m home. I just go out and spend 20 min with a 60* wedge and a driver with 1lb worth of weight washers .... as instructed by slicefixer in 2012.

Thank you. It started as 1 green and transformed from there. > @JAMH03 said:

I know I have to fix a few things on my swing so I threw this together today. I have an old Swingbyte 2 that I haven’t used in a while so I decided to dig it out to see if it still works. Wish they would bring the iOS app back. A couple of 1/2” stall mats from Tractor Supply to have a softer surface and level out the Wal-Mart driving mat, along with a Wal-Mart practice net. It’s not the most high tech solution but I’m getting good feedback.

    • APPLY NOW: L.A.B. Golf MEZZ.1 Putter (Early Access) Member Testing! 10 Testers Needed!
L.A.B. Golf is choosing ten GolfWRX members to receive their MEZZ.1 putter early and put their brand new product to the test before reporting back to the community about what they see. The selected testers will be one of the first to experience the MEZZ.1 from L.A.B. GOLF, their newest Lie Angle Balanced design, ahead of it's January 2022 launch!

About The L.A.B. Golf Mezz.1 Putter
MEZZ.1 is our new mid-mallet putter that’s fully CNC machined from a billet of 6061 aircraft aluminum (body) and 303 stainless steel (midsection) to create our best-feeling — and we think best looking — putter to date. It includes 10 weights (eight on the bottom, two on the sides) that allow us to individually build each putter to a golfer’s exact specifications.

      How To Apply
In a post below, answer the following questions.

      1. City, State?
      2. Handicap?
      3. What is your current putter?
      4. Have you ever used a L.A.B. Golf putter?
      5. Why do you want to review the MEAZZ.1 putter?
      6. Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and photos?

That's it! @labgolf and GolfWRX will choose the testers in about 2 weeks! This testing event is for good-standing members in the USA only!
