I just don't think we are going to see Tiger play a full tournament without misses. His A game is what it was today and what it was at Eastlake. And there's nothing wrong with that because it's clearly enough to win a major and probably majors.

I think that’s always been part of his A game. His iron play was terrific. Drove well overall. No big putting ooopsies today. Master class. Tougher conditions I think than it showed on TV.

Tiger would have won handily if he had his A game working today. B game was good enough which makes this win even more impressive!

Thank you Tiger for another wonderful memory. Watched Tiger back in 1992 at Lake Merced Golf Club trying to qualify for the US Open. His dad was out there holding court telling everyone how great Tiger was going to be. Tiger failed that day but that was only the beginning. At Stanford we would go watch him frequently and often his mother was in attendance. She was very quiet but kept up with his group. Tiger could drive the ball over all the doglegs at Stanford which gave him a huge advantage. Many days you could walk around with him with maybe only 20 other people watching. Since this time we have seen him compete in numerous US Opens at both Pebble and Olympic and the AT&T when he plays. My wife and I were watching at home with our 1 year old son when he gutted out the win at Torrey Pines. We also happened to be in Disney World when the unfortunate events transpired that started his downfall. Today I am happy and content and maybe a little tearful watching intently over the last 4 days. Tigers kids are basically the same age as mine and reflecting on everything brings back some special memories. Thanks again Tiger, see you at Pebble.

You almost never win being near the bottom of the field in putting with short putts.

 

This was Tiger's B game. When he makes those putts and does what he did this week it's his A game. He will be better if he can do that.

We all thought someone would go crazy low today, but the best rounds in the top-20 were two 67s by Aaron Wise and Jason Day. Conditions coupled with pressure were far more difficult than we expected.
