Anybody currently bagging an obscure ancient club you pulled put of the garage?

I concur, though with the exception of my putter (and hybrid shafts), I'm overall possibly more ancient than you...and I'm not changing anything!

I even play Macgregor MT balls I got in bulk from Golfsmith! I still have 4 dozen to go before I will get a new ball.

I play a Nickent hybrid as well. Didn't pull it out of the garbage, but did get it from Play it Again for about $15.

Can't speak for the original poster, but I walked off without my putter once. I was off the green and brought both putter and wedge, ended up using the wedge and holing out. Was excited and forgot to pick up my putter until got to the bag.

So, my beloved Wilson FG100's had some damage on the 6 & 8 irons that were causing some issues for me. Since I couldn't get replacements from Wilson any longer, I had to go back a generation or two and pull out my old school FG49's until the Staff Models get made up for me. So, I'm currently rocking the "1985-ish" "Nick Faldo Era" blades in my bag in a 1 + 3-PW setup... Love every single moment of it too...

Mine too :)

A couple of my clubs have sentimental value. My Ping Eye 2 SW and Ping J-Blade putter were my dad's.

I've been playing the same set of Titleist DCI 962s since 1998. But: 1) they have up-to-date shafts, & 2) They will be replaced next week with 718 MBs. || I have tried other irons in the years since (usually whatever set my dad has moved on from) but nothing has compared to the confidence I have with the 962s. And yes, they are 90s lofts, but I fly the 6 iron 180-185. While they may be leaving my bag, they will always remain on standby.

I want to like this more than once. Every once in a while, I'll throw the Ping Zing 2i with a C Taper x in the bag. I have a set of Zings as my backup set. Grew up on 'em - love 'em.

1972 Hogan Apex blades, 3-9 -- I'm a 10.2 index and am breaking 80 just as regularly with these as (if not more often than) with the Srixon Z765s I bought last summer to "upgrade" my play after 15+ years away from the game.

And should add that my putter is a beat up gray Ray Cook Ping-style blade of some kind that I found in the basement a month or two ago, guessing 80s or early 90s...put a bunch of lead tape on the bottom and the ball is rolling into the hole for me.

I bought an original 2 Ball last winter and that seems to be the putter that I will use for the foreseeable future. I like the looks of the Spiders, but not enough to replace the 2 Ball. I also carry a Pro Combo 20 Utility with an NV in it. Last season this was my go too tee club. On a lark this winter after reading the forums I bought a Ping Rapture 14 3 wood. It’s got a Fuji Saichin in it. Can’t find much info on the shaft, but I love it. These three 2007 and earlier clubs are now 12 years old, but I’m a fan.
