Technically they did a surprise drop for the Yeezy 2 red October’s. However, I don’t think that’s the case here.

When checking out, won’t let me change from Canada to USA when inputting shipping address.

I think that’s why the original poster of this offered help...I’d assume he’s in Canada and is offering help to US based members maybe?

This is exactly it. I have no need for this hat but saw some members who wanted some. The praying hands has the green, black and tan. The printed flowers have blue and white/tan ish.

The red Octobers were the last nike yeezy release. Kanye switched to adidas after that.

I still remember that day. I got yelled at for taking my phone out during church service.

Ah, gotcha. But we’re talking about golf shoes, and I don’t recall that ever happening in golf.

I agree, I cannot recall a similar release. That was the day I learned to turn on my twitter notifications.

This is clearly the issue. Not just the yellow hands, but the yellow hands with the red glove closure. It's the exact same overall scheme of the Masters logo of a yellow US with red flag on a green background.

Kanye had already signed with adidas when the red octobers were released. That's why they did the surprise drop.

At the end of the day if they just did the faux snake print with the clapping hands and don’t mention Amen Corner these probably launch. The only other thing I’m wondering though, is haven’t all the majors launches always occurred at 10am during the first round?

Well it’s been chronicled on here they have a patent on Augusta Green or Master’s Green (look back a few pages). I would think if you take the major color out they can’t say anything about the red and yellow (aside from maybe taking away the swoosh on the glove).

Absolute nonsense. Pantone 342 can be used, and is used, for selling sporting goods gear, including golf gear. The only issue that could possible exist is using "Amen Corner" in advertising.

They're not going to publicly say "We are sorry for the sudden discontinuation of our Snake Pack Sale. Our product description writers used the term "Amen Corner" directly relating to the golf course in Georgia and Augusta National's lawyers sent us a Cease and Desist letter telling us to halt all sales of these items or else there would be a law suit filed by the next morning"

Dropping - Going to release. This is a pretty common phrase that can be used for anything coming out soon. “That new Nike Air Max 1 colorway is dropping soon”.

Yeezy - Kanye West Nike/Adidas shoe line.

TIA - Thanks in advance. I had to look that up. I don’t know what that is even abbreviated.

GolfTown is Canada, right? If so, these hats COULD possibly still be sold in Canada, as a US Trademark doesn't apply there as far as I know.

It's additive. With enough heat you create a fire.

Pantone 342 "Masters" or "Augusta" green by itself - OK

Praying Hands yellow/red by themselves - OK

Launch it all now ahead of The Masters - OK

Pile it all up and hit it with the "Amen Corner" spark and you got yourself a copyright fire.

Whether it is or it is not copyright infringement we will not know, that takes time in a court room and a ruling. It would be up to ANGC to prove Nike infringed. That takes money (no shortage) and time and lawyers (guessing no shortage) to prove and Nike must be willing to stand their ground on it (which would invariably end up taking money (no shortage) and time and lawyers to defend). But they elected to take the quiet approach and pull the product. ANGC doesn't want to be in the news for this. Nike doesn't want to be in the news for this. Nobody wins.

Yes, GolfTown is in Canada and you may be correct on the Trademark, they would have had to apply for one in Canada. Maybe we will get sent all the shoes !!!!
