Absolutely, I had a set of Apex Edge, circa '95 or so, as my first set of forged irons and really appreciated that it was a true forged club with more forgiveness than a muscle back blade. This seems to be the idea behind the PTx Pro's as well with them offering a bigger sweet spot than the Fort Worth irons. There's a solid chance these wind up in the bag this year regardless of being selected, I like the modern lofts but have always believed in 4* loft progression so I've had to bend the last couple sets I've had. These hold true to the 4* difference and therefore give you a good, strong 4 iron but don't leave your pitching wedge looking more like a weak 9 iron -- makes gapping your wedges that much easier.
