Why not just move the tee on #13 to the left?

That's what's so great about it. Generally it's often a 3 or 4, or a 6 or worse. Makes for great drama.

But... short irons into it are a bit much. Creates less drama. Back em up, make it like it used to be was much more exciting.

So 4 was not as tough an ask. Bobby Jones said it should be a momentous decision to go for that green. It's not a decision anymore. Basically what needs to happen is guys need to be back to the hanging lie. How you get there is a discussion, but if you have a flat lie with an 8 iron in your hand....

Interesting thought, but it's way easier to move the tee box back than lower it. I don't like the idea of moving it further left though.

True, but this is ANGC. Very much a "so let it be written, so let it be done" group, especially with their own property.

A lot of right-handers also torch #13. So, quote the stats.

Mickelson and Watson are also long hitters. I suspect that has more to do with it than being left-handed.

> Secondly, it's because of the way modern drivers are built....it's hard to draw the ball but easy to fade it, and that's the perfect shot shape for a lefty on that hole.

Not buying that at all. Almost every right-handed pro on the course can hit a draw with a driver. Even I can hit a draw with my driver.
