Fujikura Ventus Experience! We will be there Monday through Wednesday! Follow Along!

We got a tour of the Fujikura HQ and Prototyping Facility this morning. Alex gave us a TON of awesome details/demos on the materials, build process, painting/finishing, durability testing, profile measuring, etc. Then we got on the Enso machine. The amount of information that the system can capture on your swing, how the shaft moves during your swing, how it affects the club face at impact is just mind blowing. I could have spent all day on that thing just geeking out.

The ventus line is going to expand, they hinted at some amazing stuff coming up as a result of the Enso system and the information they can gather from that. Fuji is putting in the work to be a top shelf company.

The shaft building demo and walk through was really cool. I learned a lot about what goes into a shaft and what are just marketing buzz words.

I am not going to turn this into a bashing deal. But it’s similar to things like twist face. While TaylorMade names it that, the are probably not the only company doing it. They just didn’t market it.

Strongly considering picking up a Ventus to try - disappointed Callaway doesn’t currently offer as a custom option so will have to pick up from a dealer!

I’m bummed that TM doesn’t offer it either. As far as I know the only company that has it as a custom option is Ping for the new 410 line.

Would like to try these in 6X and 7X. I tried a 6S my buddy and it felt very loose but somehow never missed one left (which is my typical miss). But it definitely was spinning too much for my speed, very high but also very straight

I just got the 6-X. Nothing fancy. Except it is fancy.

There is only the legit version of the ventus. I looked at the ping with ventus before coming on this trip. I think it is a $200 (or there-abouts) upcharge.

Seriously though....I held one in my hands and pretty much begged for one.

They are being seeded on tour right now but we were sworn to secrecy and couldn’t take pictures. There is another version as well with a totally different profile being tested.

It must be since he’s been playing the same speeder 661 for forever. I really need to just pull the trigger and get a ventus 7 or 8x for the 3w. Seems like there’s no way I won’t like it.

“Hand crafted” is the one that I found interesting. Apparently EVERY graphite shafts is assembled by hand. There are NO SHAFTS made any manufacturer made by just pushing a button and letting a machine do it.

 

The prototypes and research shafts are made in small quantities at the Fuji building in Carlsbad but when they go to production overseas at various plants they use EXACTLY the same technique and material and are still hand assembled by experts. There are just more people doing it at more stations in the factory.

 

The machines and testing equipment used in the process are exactly the same Overseas as they are in Carslbad.
