Looks like J.B. Holmes put the ventus in play. While he may be slow, he loads the club as hard as anyone, ever.

I have an Atmos Black TS 6X untipped. Would the Ventus 7X be closest in terms of tip stability?

The ventus has a stiffer tip section than the atmos I believe, but a smoother over all profile. If that makes sense. I would say yes it would fit you. Myself, I never liked the atmos. It is way to boardy and I lose the feel of the head. But, if we are just talk tips, the ventus I believe is stiffer.

Atmos 6x is 69 grams and 3.4 degrees of torque.

Ventus 6x is 65 grams and 3.1 degrees of torque

Ventus 7x is 77.5 grams and 2.9 degrees of torque.

As Quigley suggested, the tip is EXTREMELY stiff and stable and the shaft has a different loading and unloading feel to it than Atmos.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I was looking at the tip flex values on the Fujikura website and looks like the Atmos Black TS 6X has a stronger tip value compared to the Ventus offerings.

That said it does look like the torque favors Ventus in terms of stability.

The overall stiffness of the tip section extends farther up the shaft in the Atmos Black. A “stiffer” tip does not actually mean “more stable” however. It generally means lower launch trajectory.

Atmos Black is a “high kick” shaft. Ventus Blue is more of a mid kick shaft with the very lowest portion of the tip actually being stiffer and lower torque than Atmos black, but that stiffness does not continue as far up the shaft as the Atmos Black. Make sense?

Ventus should launch a bit higher for most people because of this.

If you truly need a lower launch version, the Ventus Black is almost surely coming in a few weeks or months.

Great cap of the difference between the ATMOS 6X and the Ventus and agree with the differences. I have the Limited ATMOS 6X (black) and the Ventus is higher launching than my ATMOS. However, I now play the 6-S in the Ventus just to help me turn the ball over easier. Now, higher launching does not mean moon balls. On my 108 SS swing, its only a tad higher and I can control the height with just a minor adjustment in my tee height. As well, head to head, the Ventus pips my ATMOS and it is far straighter than my ATMOS ever was and ATMOS was pretty darn straight & good already.

I am impressed with the Ventus and yesterday I played with 3 strangers as a foursome and at the end of the round, they thanked me for an exhibition in driving (and they were pretty good themselves). I was an unexpected complement and very cool, considering that I was nursing an injury on my right wrist during the round, it really made my day... well done Fujikura

Hard to imagine Fujikura beating their own shaft but they did it. Same course, same fairways and same conditions (thanks to the beautiful SoCal LA weather). As for Ventus Black, WoW...that would make me drool... but this Ventus is money already... B)

Well I ended up getting a Ventus 6X for my driver. It has supplanted my Atmos TS Black 6X and I will be getting a Ventus 7X for my 3 wood. Ventus feels great and it really does appear to be straighter for me. Not really going to overthink this lol.

I haven’t. I have not even asked yet.

I helped my neighbor move when I got back and then I bought his place to renovate as my next big project. I took forever to get him out. 40+ years of accumulated “stuff” to deal with.....and he liked his “stuff” a bit too much, if you get my drift. We filled a giant construction dumpster to the brim with all that valuable “stuff”.

I’ve been going nonstop. I’ve been a bad WRXer. I haven’t played and I only hit balls once since the trip at the urging of a friend.

Ok Fujikura I need help. I ordered TS3 6X Ventus through club champion two weeks ago. I just found out that the 6X is back ordered? I am so upset because I have two huge tourney's starting this weekend. They are sending me the 7X until the ^x arrives. My questions is can I handle the 7X? 112mph 165 BS 12.4 launch 2300 spin with the Ventus 6X... Any help would be great...

wow, feel sorry for you, but that is a solid sign for the shaft. I play the 7X, and I let a buddy that is about the same as you try it and he did just fine at that speed. I don't know your swing though. But just going by numbers, he was fine, I do think the 6X is probably the way to go for the long haul. You may just get a bit more tired by hole 18.

Yes, waiting on a 6s tipped a half inch. I had a feeling the 5s straight in was going to be too soft but wanted to give it a try back home.

We just shipped them a bunch this week to fulfill backorders and stock up their inventory, so you should be set. Sorry about the back order, the demand for 6X is crazy!

no, not as soft as our PRO series, which is designed to help golfers load it. Ventus is softer in handle/butt than ATMOS TS Blue though for reference.

What are y'all's experience tipping the Ventus shaft in drivers and fairways? I have a 115-120mph driver swing speed, normally tip drivers 1" and fairways 1.5" out of habit more than anything else. However, with the Ventus' tip section design I wasn't sure if it was beneficial or harmful to tip the shaft. Thoughts anyone?
