Ping's new G410 LST driver

Super close to pulling the trigger on a G410 LST, but not 100% sold on it over the plus model.

Can anyone that made the switch tell me what they found better? See most tour usage is coming as the plus if I had to guess, and most reviews showing minimal differences in spin.

I did pull the trigger on a LST I’m curious to hear this comparison as well.

I like the look at address. You have to realize pros don’t generally need the spin reduction A) because they want control and spin = control and B) high spin is generally a swing fault which pro either don’t have or can more easily work out. For me the LST was just as forgiving and longer. May be a confidence thing, YMMV.

I bought the 410 plus...the 9 deg looked more neutral as opposed to open...besides golf digest said it was second best for my swing speed...i know..I know...but ..it WAS Golf Digest

I ordered a 9 degree g410 lst (digital loft) at 44.5 inches with the tour 65 stiff last week. Hopefully it will come next week. I will put it head to head with my g400 lst 2kxvgreen x flex- which has been a pretty good driver for me. The 2kxv green has to be the weakest/smoothest x flex i have ever hit as the tour stiff felt firmer as did my rogue silver stiff in my previous driver. I had a bunch of Worldwide gift cards sitting around so if it doesn't work out i can use the 90 day guarantee and get a new 3 wood and hybrid

I mistakenly flipped from M3 to M5. M3 was better for me. I had a cup of coffee with the 5 but was never overwhelmed. Perhaps at 41 I don’t have the game for it I used to.

 

The 410 lst reminds me of the i20, which I played until the M3. That was probably my all time favorite driver.

 

For me, the 410lst feels and performs better than the m5. And the 3. Long and forgiving and looks good.

 

I don’t have numbers. This is entirely an on course and feel thing. M5 never felt right. I have a hunch this ping may spin a whisker more. But that may be a good thing for me.

I sold all of my drivers to purchase the LST. In the meantime I’ve gone back to my old faithful 11 degree Ping i15 with a UST Axiv-Core Red. I forgot how much I absolutely cherish this driver. Think I missed one fairway all day yesterday and it’s beastly long! The key to unlocking this head was a ton of loft. My buddies laughed and said can’t wait to bet you when you show up a different driver! The i15 is about 10k worth of drivers ago. Sometimes I think we over analyze just to have new toys!

I currently play G400 lst, hit a fade (slice is my miss partly from OTT). Any recommendations for upgrading to have the adjustable draw weight?

Well today did not go as planned, my UK order LST did not come and I called and they said it had been delayed 3 weeks. I cancelled it as I will be leaving the UK before it arrives.

 

Now do I just order from DD and wait 4 to 6 weeks for digital loft and specific head weight or buy from ebay or BST?

Man had been playing mine with. Evo IV 661x tipped an 1” and it was good but shaft felt a little soft in the middle to me, would have the occasional high, floaty spinner. Put in a Speeder VC TS 6.2x tipped 1” today and damn. Damn, damn, damn lol.

Anyone have the G410 LST with the made-for tensei ck pro orange? Just got fit for it, cut down to 44.5" in the 60 gram option and tipped a bit. It was the straightest of the 2019 offerings with minimal distance difference against the F9. Unfortunately my fitter made it sound like the heads are backordered at this moment so I won't be getting it for a while......it's going to kill me internally

Pretty sure that the CK orange that Ping offers is the real deal and not a "made for" shaft, but it's not the Pro model

Massive, Pro is Low, Low and Normal is Mid,Low. I hit the normal orange and it felt and performed nothing like my Pro in an M5 head. The Pro has more expensive materials in it etc. If you hit the standard well then get that as there is a huge price difference and feel difference

My lst digital loft with custom length and swing weight was ordered last Monday and came in today. Guess I got lucky

Oh jeez mine is a 9* head so I'm willing to bet it's on backorder. I hit the standard CK Orange better than any shaft on the wall so I'll take it!

I have always been happy with mint with drivers but this is the first time this has happened to me on a mint order.

That's definitely MINT! I think alot of places are getting around Pings strict pricing policies by listing items as used/mint or shopwear. You can sell a used Ping for whatever you want. I know one seller on ebay has any current model Ping iron you want with just about every shaft offered, listed as "shopwear", with buy it now at list or best offer. I've checked in with them and they usually take a hundred or two less as a best offer.

And if they get caught say bye-bye to there account real fast! Ping is super strict about pricing policies.
