The one on 14 for sure I can see that, being right in the dune face.  The one on 15, seems more to open up a bail out area?  There's another bunker right next to it that looks untouched in the video.

Has anyone stayed in the Round Lake rooms?  Do you know if check in is at the Inn, Main Lodge, or do they have their own check in?

Sorry for the non actual bandon specific post...After back to back years of canceling our Bandon trip (covid/injury) we decided to bring it to us 😂. Rescued this guy and we decided to name him Bandon.

Just saw the brief article on Golf.com where Bryson D. is talking about the new Loop shuttle service that was started by Tim Tucker (former caddie for Bryson).

 

Pretty spendy (from PDX: ~$4K for round trip, from EUG: ~$2600), but it's definitely super lux transportation.

 

Interesting that the photo of the coast on the website is actually Haystack Rock near Cannon Beach, which is around 230 miles north of Bandon...

Pretty hard sell. Prices are for 8 passengers, but for reference, chartering a private jet is actually less than the shuttle from PDX.

I assume after the first lap dancer death, the resulting court case will shut this down pretty quick.

Heads up folks - the 2023 taps are open Jan through Apr 2023 can now be booked starting today.

I fired off a quick email to the reservations contact that I had been emailing with for getting our 2023 group set up.  Minor panic...

I rang up at 10:20ish for an existing reservation and ended up booking a 2023 trip... I mean I was already on the call 😄

The agent said the queue had gone up massively just in the time of our call - got super lucky, reckon the wait times are not going to be nice the rest of the day. Poor girl got exposed to my google tee-sheeting in real time

That feeling of calling up and tweaking your tee times can't be matched. Reservations at Bandon is unrivaled.

 

Meanwhile I am starting to consistently dream about Bandon - I am t-minus 45 days over here!

Called and booked 2 lily pond rooms for 4 of us and tee times for end of February 2023. Starting tee times are 9:40, 8:40 & 8:20 and replays each day so unfortunately no pacesetters but guess we get a little more sleep this trip. Playing the original 4 courses once each and SR twice.

 

481 Days until our 3rd trip ugh... Whistling Straits trip in May will have to hold us over until then because that feels like a long ways away.

Called in this morning and booked our trip for 16 guys in March 2023... waited about an hour to get through. Was not prepared at all, but as always they were very patient and helpful in getting us 36 holes a day... for 5 days.🙂

The email arrived in my inbox at 10:21 PDT--I was later told it was sent at 10 on the dot--but I didn't call until 11:05, which was the instant I saw it. I spent 65-70 minutes on hold and was about to have a meltdown as @duffer987 posted about the queue spike during this time. I finally made contact at about 12:10 and likely had the longest conversation with a reservations agent in my life. It must be my lucky day because my foursome will be one of the first three groups out for all four full days of the trip. We will, however, be going later in the year than planned. But I'm still extremely relieved ...

Almost 2 hour hold, 4 lily pond doubles, 2 pace setter times and afternoon replays March 16-20, 2023.  First scan of the email I thought it opened December 1. Screenshot it and sent it to my normal guys. Went back and looked at it and realized the shoulder months opened today and got on the phone then.

This is directly from the reservation.  We arriving friday afternoon and wouldn’t be able to make the last bandon preserve tee time.

I was joking with my buddy who helps me organize our annual trip on Sunday, saying we should get 2023 organized in anticipation of the New Years Day call. 
 

We spent an hour talking about everything and joked about how crazy we were. Funny how timing works out. I got that  email at 10:08 and  was on the phone at 10:09. 
 

With 16 guys, we didn’t get everything we wanted exactly, but being flexible is part of having such a large group. 
 

Staying at The Inn and playing every course, Trails twice.

Seems if you want to book a big group, you better get a head start.  We were pushed to the end of April because there weren’t enough consecutive nights at the lodge.  8 man team going.  Already counting the days.  Cabot Cliffs is booked for 2021.

Random question for the random thread.  I’m heading to Bandon on Sunday for the first time. Can I buy their Yeti water bottle on Sunday afternoon when I arrive and then are there water stations on all 5 courses?  I’m trying to avoid packing my own water bottle if possible, but also do not want to die of dehydration on my first trip.

Yep, that is basically the point of the water bottle/yeti team up. They added water through out the resort to fill up and eliminate single use bottles.

Can anyone provide any feedback on how quickly rooms are filling up for Jan-Apr 2023? I’m already stressing about the mad dash for May-Dec on 12/1.

@birdhays On Monday, I called at 11:05 PDT and connected with an agent at around 12:10 and was able to get two Round Lake Doubles for all five nights in March but ultimately decided on April as the tee times were much better (also two Round Lake Doubles).
