PXG 0211 irons - what do you think?

Well, just spoke to a supervisor, and he told me that my clubs are built and just awaiting final inspection. Should ship early next week. Also upgraded my shipping to next day air at no cost due to all the contradicting information I received.

So I went from June 10 build (May 21) to in build the next day (May 22), to clubs being built in 2-3 weeks (May 27), to clubs are completed and awaiting final quality inspection (May 28).

Dates in parenthesis are the days I was told this information.

No idea what to believe ?

Must be nice lol

I just spoke to the player support director and he said my clubs won’t be built for another 2-3 weeks even though a supervisor told me earlier today that they were done and ready to ship next week.

These things better be darn good because this has been a headache from the beginning. Different info every day, sometimes the same day!

Why do you keep calling to check? I get that you want your item but seriously let it breathe. You just reported yesterday that they were finishing up and you called to check on them today? I understand that you’ve gotten 6 different answers but it never even would have occurred to me to check that many times. Maybe it’s just me ??‍♂️

Nah, I think all of us were thinking the same thing. You can’t call these companies every day for an update (well, apparently you can, but I think you catch my drift). If it is this much trouble, then just cancel. Otherwise, let it roll, and it will get done at some point in the near future.

We're in the middle of a pandemic, man. They've been understaffed for months and I'm sure are working on yours and everyone else's as fast as they can. They're golf clubs, maybe just have some perspective and just be patient. If he called you it's probably because you've called a bunch of times - you'll know they've shipped when you get a shipping notice. No need to keep following up.

Edit: Hate agreeing with a Yankees fan, lol.

This has turnThis has turned comical. All these Karen’s trying to talk to the manager like courses are opened back up now, where are my clubs? I need my clubs, right now. The sale has been going on since the middle of March, if they jumped on the train early they would have had their clubs by now. Show up at the Cheesecake Factory on a Friday at 5pm and you get right in. Show up at 7:30 and you’re going to have to wait like everyone else.

Maybe they would be able to update order status and build dates and get more work done If they weren’t spending all day fielding calls from whiney customers. Keep this up and we will never see another sale like this again because it won’t be worth the heartburn.

I agree with this right here.

I ordered the 0211's last year using the veterans promotion with KBS TGI 80 shafts. I was moving up from PING G700's with their stock graphite shafts which I think are around 72g. The TGI 80 are more of a stiff flex and took just too much effort on my part to make them work. So naturally, in ho fashion, I ordered another set of 0211's with Steelfiber i70 wanting to stick with the PXG's and going back to something closer to the PING shafts. I liked the Steelfibers as they were super soft on my arms and wrists, alas my shot dispersion suffered as they were just too light and I had to modulate my swing tempo too much to get the right shot pattern/consistency. (if that makes any sense to anyone?)

Fast forward to last week. I have a set of Elevate 95's that I won here early last year sitting around so I swapped out the SF's. The launch with the 95's is much better while the dampening in them feels every bit as soft as the Steelfibers. The shaft just loads right for me and I can consistently feel the kick point without having to power through my swing (KBS 80) or modulate the tempo (SF i70) The flight is very easy to work with as I like to work a slight draw on my irons. The Elevate shafts have helped me add about 8-10 yards per club. Now, that could be the shaft or me just finding the right shaft for my swing. An added benefit is that the shafts transition much better to my Ping Glide 2.0 shafts (AWT 2.0) in my gap, 54 and 58 wedges. 8 iron comparisons/yards/launch

G700 - 135 high launch

0211 KBS TGI 80 - 140 mid launch

0211 SFi70 - 140 high launch

0211 Elevate 95 - 153 -155 high launch

I tried it in my fitting. Good shaft but fir me the Steelfiber was a better fit. MMT was a higher trajectory with a softer tip.

Ordered on phone 4/30

Arrived 5/30 pm was hoping they arrive mon-fri when my wife wasn't home, but oh well. I asked her to find my DD-214 , USN (ret), but I didn't need that for the 0211 irons, so she knew they were coming. LOL

5-pw,Gap,Sw Elevate-R 1 deg up, 1/4" longer. Upgraded to Golf Pride CP-2 Midsize (extra $10 ea)

Ordered a 5 and 6 iron in March, got them today. Wanted something to go a bit higher and be a little more forgiving than my Z forged blades. Played a bit with them tonight. They're really great clubs. Feel great, easy to shape, fly high, decently long, as long as you don't mind the offset and the blade length.

One weird thing is that because the blade length is so long, it makes it feel like the club itself is short when you address the ball. They're the same exact length as my existing 5 and 6 irons, but they feel shorter. It's a very strange feeling.

Got mine with Modus 120, 1 degree weak to match my loft gaps, and standard PXG midsize grips, I know some people don't like these grips, but I think they're quite nice. Normally play multi compounds.

Oh yeah, they came in the black box if that matters to you. I don't really care tbh.

I just checked on my order, and it shows in final inspection. For those of you that have ordered, how long is the normal lead time between final inspection and shipped?

Ordered a set on 6/1. I have hit my brothers, so I know exactly what I'm getting. Excellent clubs. By far, the best value going right now.
