PXG 0211 irons - what do you think?

I ordered May 7 and have been in assembly for 16 days. Worse than that, I know a few guys that ordered in April and haven’t gotten them yet. O well though ??‍♂️ Delays are understandable right now.

Ordered 0211 with MMT 70 - stock graphite. Everything standard.

When I ordered mine the rep told me that there were some heads and shafts. Not sure what they are specifically though.

Ordered 6 to gap, 2 degrees flat, MMT 80 stiff on April 29.

Been in assembly since last Monday.

I’m thinking maybe they are back ordered on the MMT shafts since you guys ordered before me but have t been built yet. I got an email this morning that said my irons have shipped, but it doesn’t say who by so I can’t track them. It’s just a 12 number tracking starting with a 3.

They generally ship via fed ex, and that tracking should work with fed ex.

Was able to track them. They are scheduled to be delivered Thursday. Can’t wait to hit them....

How long are they generally in the items picked and assembling? Mine have been in there about 4 days.

I wanted to post some pics of mine after about 15 rounds. Still looking new. So much better than the I500 pings I have last year.

P790’s are a very good set of irons as I played them for a good portion of last year.

0211’s are not as long iron for iron but the 0211’s feel and sound better and for me have been more accurate and consistent.

Played Nippon NS Pro Modus Tour 105 in the 790’s and play Nippon NS Pro 1050GH in the 0211’s.

More offset on the 0211 long irons but less in the short irons and more bounce on the 0211’s. So the turf interaction is better for my shallow, sweeper swing with the 0211’s than the P790’s.

0211’s are larger length heel to toe in the long irons and about the same in the short irons. They remind me a lot of Ping iron heads at address and have the forgiveness of Ping G25 with the playability of the Ping iE1.

Really can’t go wrong with either set as they are both excellent irons but hit them both off the grass if you can.

The 0211 have been an excellent fit for me.

Thanks for the information. I needed some time to adjust to the P790s because they are pretty compact heel to toe. They have forced me, I think, to be a little more focused.

Thats a long time it seems. Are they standard everything? Mine are 2 degrees flat so I figured that might be the hold up.

1 degree flat. 5-G.

I was told that their online tracking has been hit or miss so think it may have gone to “in assembly” before they actually were, but should be shipped out this week which would be about 5 weeks after order so in line with the 4-6 weeks they are saying.

It will be interesting to see what PXG replaces the 0211’s with.

Seems to me the 0211’s are the gateway drug that PXG uses to get you hooked on the hard stuff, Gen 3, lol.

Every round I play with the 0211’s gets better and I’m really starting to dial them in. Scores are dropping a little though the index is still at 12...iron play is strongest it’s been in a while and makes golf so much more enjoyable.

I ordered 5-pw with elevate tour s flex (standard LLL) mine have been in picked / in assembly going on 3 weeks.

I think everyone that has ordered should assume a 6 week turnaround, and anything earlier is icing on the cake

Yeah they must be. I ordered 5-G on May 7 with elevate tour shafts and they have been in assembly for almost 3 weeks. Knows few people that ordered in April and haven’t seen anything yet. I got 1 day shipping so hopefully I’ll see them this week ???

Why wouldn’t they just do Gen2? I am debating whether or not to get the gap wedge or go with a MG2. Anyone have any comparisons between the set gap or something from someone else?

I’ve been struggling with the 0211 for the last few weeks after finally being able to get out and hit them. Part of the reason is because of how light they are. I know they are light, and Ive been trying to adjust tempo and slowing down my swing to make them work.

My 0311x came today, and the first thing I noticed was ho lee chit this thing is light. so I decided to weigh it and it came out to a whopping c8. Then I did what I had been trying to avoid doing, and weighed the 0211s. The PW was the only club to break D0...and just barely.

I mean I know all these guys came from ping, but this light even by their standards.

People should not call the 0211 a new edition of 0411, they could call it a 0211 Gen 3 set of irons..it relate on the type of Marine job assignment...
