Anyone pairing these with a 0311x driving iron? Waiting for my order I was bored on their site and found it.

I ordered one but haven’t gotten them. Went 6-GW 0211 and got a 5 iron 0311x. So my gaps from 50-24 are filled before my 21 degree hybrid and 16.5 degree fairway.

ok. I went 4-GW and am considering adding the 3 as a possible fairway finder, although that is what I usually use my 4 for anyways. I guess I play it out and see if I need a piss missile that I can swap in for my 3W or 3H depending on conditions.

I paired my 5-W 0211 with a 4 Gen 1 0311X and love it.

Do these have less bounce than let’s say P790’s. I do find that I dig with these a bit more than normal. Yes, I am a steep swinger anyway, but these seem to dig more. Anyone else have this issue?

I definitely take larger/deeper divots with the 0211's than normal. It's not a negative, but I do find them to dig more than my other irons (Callaway Legacy Black).

Just got home from my fitting at PXG Scottsdale. Went to get fit for a Proto driver, Gen2 hybrid and putter.

For fun, I did hit my 0211’s against Gen2 0311P’s, both with Modus 120. Performance was identical and feel was very close. Yes, Gen2 was a little softer when I hit the sweet spot. Yardage and flight were identical. If I had the bank roll, I would get the Gen3 0311P’s, but money is being spent on other things.

Just wanted to share what I saw drying my fitting. The fitter, James, did bend my 0211’s upright on the spot for me after seeing my swing. Shot out to him, great guy. The 0211’s are just really good.

I had a driver follow up fitting last week and hit a gen 2 iron they had warming up. Like you, I could tell no difference between the 0211's I have and it. I think the 0211's are the best iron for the price from any manufacturer right now with the current sale.

Have any 0211 players used PING ie1 or any I series irons in the in the past? If so, how do the PXG and PING irons compare in size and performance?

I’ve had both and tbh, they are virtually identical.  I even game a ie1 U wedge with my 0211’s 5-PW right now.  The long and mid-irons in the 0211’s are slightly bigger than the ie1 long and mid irons but from the 7-PW, they’re pretty much the same.  Of course what shaft you have will change the feel of both sets but the heads are pretty similar.

Great, that’s what I really wanted to be the case. I placed an order and just hope they arrive before the season ends. Thanks for for taking the time to respond.

How do these iron heads perform in windy conditions for everyone? I play z565 s300 now and my only knock on them is the short irons are a bit spinny for me and some shots get eaten up in wind (a lot has to do with my strike)

I would assume this style of head is designed to spin less but never hit any. I'm thinking about going with the 0211 in the DG 120 because I have been wanting to go with a lighter shaft.

Would you guys recommend these for a high ball hitter who wants a bit less spin?

Sorry to quote this 5 months later. I was fitted into these in a 25ish mph wind blowing into me and carry seemed fine, i had higher ball flight and was still hitting the 7 155 (normalization had it at ~165). Will see when mine come in whether my trajectory still holds since the wind may have been holding it up slightly. I did also have a stiffness change from my prior gamers, so that may have had some influence.

Thanks for the thoughts @Twin2L! I’m eager but nervous to try out the MMT’s coming from Modus 105X. I’d love to hear what you think after you use them on the course.

Lefty, If you're playing the X flex in the 105, the MMT80 Stiff will not hold up for your swing. I find it to be soft in the middle and exceptionally smooth. I have played the Wishon Superlight Stiff and DG 105 Stiff and the MMT80's seem to play a flex softer for me. I had more success with the longer irons. Perhaps because they are lighter heads. the only 6 iron I hit was 188, approximately 180 carry. This was within 1/2 a club from my other set iron of comparable loft. Short irons, especially 8 - Gap came up woefully short for me. My old 50* Gap wedge is 115-120. This one with the MMT was 100 yards. Forged PW 130, this one 115 with the MMT. I'll be changing to the Elevate. Possibly Elevate Tour. I'll be chatting with the fitter.

For anyone considering the MMT shaft, it is an excellent shaft. Although it doesn't fit my swing, my experience with them is that the dispersion is excellent. I didn't have any issue at all with the weight of the MMT80 stiff and found them easy to put a good swing on the ball with. I had the tightest dispersion (left to right especially) that I have had all season. distance was also very consistent. These are without a doubt the smoothest shaft I have ever swung. This shaft with the 0211 head really make it simple to flight the ball up or down on command. I found that I could hit a nice soft 3-5 yard draw easily and even managed very comfortable little fades. This is notable because it is one of the toughest shots for me with irons.

Having played forged players CB's for years, I was curious how the offset would impact my game. I actually found it beneficial to my game and by the time I was half way through the round really found that I like the look. It gave me confidence in my alignment and the dispersion was proof to me. I had one shot in thick rough where I hit the 5 iron just to see how the thick sole would perform. For me, the lesson of the resulting hook from the club turning over is that I'll need to be more steep on this shot in the future. Other than that, it moved smoothly through medium rough. It was only on this one shot with very heavy rough that I noticed any difference.

All in all, I really like these 0211's. They look great, are nice size, (same size as i210), not too big at all and not too small. They are very, very easy to align and are forgiving and provide consistent distance even on a slight mishit. I'm hopeful that having these reshafted to the Elevates will provide comparable distances loft for loft as I have with my forged CB's. If they do, they surely will stay in the bag. As I said in an earlier post, I'm not chasing distance, but at 61, I don't want to give any up.

How does the process work to change out shafts? Do they charge a fee? Or do you have to send back within 30 days and they change them out? Or are you on your own to make the changes?

You pay return shipping back to them.  They will re-shaft in a comparable shaft (in other words, I don't think they would do an up-charge shaft from a no-upcharge shaft, at least not without some extra dough).  They'll cover return shipping back to you.  Need to call them and set it up within the 30-day return period.  Then that is that--no more return policy, or re-shafting.

After 7 months with 3 or 4 range total outings, lots of in the garage mat swings, and no actual gaming, I took my 0211's out last weekend ... really worked on not over swinging ... LOVE THEM ... WOW ... Straight as an arrow, forgiving on toe hits and sweeps ... best irons I have ever hit (have gamed many Ping G's, some Ping I's, even S55's).

Time to clean -up and sell the G700s!
