PXG 0211 irons - what do you think?

Have any higher swing speed guys that normally play X100 or PX6.5's went with the Elevate Tour X's in the 0211's and been happy with them? Looking for feedback and opinions on that shaft. Current deal is smoking if the elevate works vs forking out $39/club for X100's.

I tried 0211's with Elevate Tour X's and did not like them.   Back to Ctaper, S400s, PX for me.  Will be listing the 0211's soon.

The $50 fitting fee was well worth it IMHO, to KNOW which shaft worked the best for me in the 0211, by the empirical launch monitor data (as well as the outside fitting location to see the full ball flight).

 

Hasten thee to a PXG fitter (if AT ALL possible).

Damn, already sold the 0211s eh? The Ts do look so sexy but I don’t have the game for them either.  I’m a P guy.  Lol

Had the 0211’s for about 6 months. T’s are the best looking irons out there. I just need more forgiveness. When you hit 15 greens you don’t sell them... idiot!!

Do you mean the Sub 70 699’s? How do you like those ? I’ve got my eye on those or the 639 CB’s.

they've been great...only LH option, tho 😑 but they are expanding the LH line next year.  would love to try a set of 639s

It’s official.... I picked up another set of 0211’s from PXG express. The Gen3 0311T’s are just a bit too demanding for me. I lost too much money in my weekend money group with the 0311T’s. Made way more money with the 0211’s. Lol

 

Seriously, I hit way more greens with the 0211 that the T’s. That’s because my ability, not the clubs. Duh. Can I say that the 0211 feels amazing too. They are just easier and more fun to play. 
 

FYI, I NEVER practice, I just play. And the 0211’s are fun to play.

I did a fitting yesterday thinking i would getting 0311P's or maybe a combo with the T's. Decided to hit the 0211's because why not? They felt no different than the 0311's and i even hit them better. Was a better turf interaction for me vs the 0311's. Very impressed and can't wait to get them.

Smart man! What a great iron at a great price. They felt the exact same as the Gen2 P when I hit them side by side at my fitting.

I feel the same. I even said to the fitter if i hadnt looked at the heads and knew what i was hitting i would have never guessed they were different.

Not sure if you saw, but so just sold my Gen3 0311T’s and going back to the 0211’s. That’s saying something!

Congrats.  They are great irons.  What shaft did you go with?

I had the Modus 120 in my first set of 0211’s and now this set with have the stock Elevate Tour. Hit my buddies Maverick irons that had it in there and liked it.

Have you received your "new" set from PXG Express yet?  Let us know how it goes.  I might have [ok, did] placed an order for another set of 0211 irons with Elevate Tour shafts as well. 

 

I went direct with PXG since I only needed 6-GW and it was cheap enough, and wanted to get lie angle and upgraded grips done from the start.  I figured I love the Elevate Tour in my PXG wedges, so maybe they'll work great in the irons as well.  Originally going lighter with the Elevate 95 and MMT 80 did not really work out for me earlier in the season.  Who knows--if they don't work out, I'll return them or have them re-shafted.

Mine get here today. Ordering the 0311 Forged wedges today. 50 and 54. Hope they don’t take too long to get. 
 

Will be playing this weekend with the new irons and will post a review.

My 0211’s just showed up I got from PXG Express. Crazy, they look brand new, never hit. What a smoking deal. 
 

Now just have to change the grips out. Hate the stock PXG grip.

The Elevates are good shafts.  My set of 0211 have the Elevate Tour Xstiff and perform great for me.  To me they don't feel like an X...more like a stiffer stiff.  But they've been great for me.  I'm currently having some Srixon Z565' shafted with Recoil 110's...but the 0211's aren't going anywhere.

Forgive me as I haven't read all 59 pages of this thread in entirety, but I've seen you've been in both 0311T (both Gen 2 and Gen 3?) and 0211. I'm curious if you've ever tried the 0311P; and if so how it related to 0211?

 

I'm currently contemplating 0211 v Gen 2 0311P.

MuniPukeLife: No first hand knowledge, but I have read a lot of this thread.  Consensus seems to be that the 0211s are comparable to an XF/P combo set.

I have been 0211, then demo’d 0211 vs Gen2 0311P, 4 rounds with Gen3 0311T, and now back to 0211.

 

When I demo’d the 0211 vs the Gen2 0311P I was seeing the SAME EXACT numbers. Spot on. Even the fitter said he wouldn’t want me to change for the price. The feel might have even been better with the 0211’s. All my fittings have been at PXG HQ. 

You just have to demo if possible and see if they are worth the upcharge over the 0211.

my opinion is no.

 

The Gen3 0311T were just too demanding for me. Excited to get back to playing good golf again. Been using Modus 120’s for the last few years and wanted to try the Elevate Tour after demoing several times.

Has anyone compared these to the Srixon 585/785s? I love the 0211s but wish I would have tested the Srixon VT sole out as well just for that extra confidence on fat shots.

You can sell the stock PXG grips pretty quickly on the bay (not everyone shares our disdain for them). I was able to pretty much offset my shipping charge by ordering my set of 0211 without the grips mounted, and then sold them in a couple of days -- 5-PW listed them for $59.94.

I owned both the 585's and 0211's at the start of 2020. Sold the 585's.

Side by side I found there to be very little real difference in turf interaction between the two for me.

Thanks. I just had another 9 with the 0211s and got my ball striking on track. These fly so nice. Make sure to get the right shaft to get the proper trajectory. Kbs tour S for me, nice one hop stop most the time.

First round back with with the 0211’s after my stint with 0311T. Fun round today. 12 GIR and a 77. These just feel so good! 
 

First time ever with the Elevate Tour Shaft. Much more accurate for me than the Modus 120. Modus has a better feel, but felt looser. I like these shafts. 
 

These 0211’s will not be leaving the bag for  a long time.
