He has talked about his stroke intention and feel being that of a "high draw". It appears that he's using positioning of the ball towards the toe to promote that

I'd say you're correct. But everyone has a blow up hole now and then. Brooks just happens to have one like once a year. So, yes he's the best in the world now and deserves that OWGR #1. But he doesn't have it yet because week in and week out, he isn't the best.

First, I don’t think you fully understand what goes on on the Vogue forum, but really, you can’t be stunned by the fact that many human people, with human emotions, prefer to watch players who show some emotion. Doesn’t mean they don’t fully appreciate the skill and dominance being shown, but when your average player makes an important putt, they imitate the Tiger fist bump, they don’t imitate the BK robot like walk to the next tee. Folks like to feel an emotional attachment.

I think many have forgotten or never realized, how most good golfers through history have "carried themselves" on the course. Controlling your emotions as much as possible, allows most to play better golf. An emotional roller coaster, as much as it might be entertaining, does not translate to consistent high level play in golf

So I have a theory. Could it be that you're a brooks fan ? And by your words that would make you a brooks “ fanboy “ ? ( notice the question mark. Not a statement )

So ..... what’s wrong with others preferring to watch someone else ? There has to be a reason why you find this exciting and others don’t. No?

He is by far, in the majors. Right now, he is golf's version of "Mr October" or clutch Reggie Jackson back in the day, in baseball's post season

I'm not a Brooks fan.....actually I don't actively root for anyone on tour. I just appreciate excellence, and am glued to the TV set when I see it. Watching the best at what they do is more than good enough for me. My $.02

LOL. It's a fist pump, not a fist bump. I dont recall ever seeing Hogan, Snead, or Nicklaus making a fist pump. I dont think Brooks needs to imitate the Tiger fist pump.

I suppose. And that’s easier to take as a valid opinion minus the fanboy remarks etc of the other poster.

On the flip side , it’s hard to watch anything religiously and not have favorites. And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with favorites.

Other than being a Rickiestan, I could not agree more. Just like to see the best golf played. Does not matter if it is Tiger, Phil, DJ, BK, Day, Spieth, Scott, Rory, JT, Bubba, Rose, Molinari, Fleetwood, Rahm, Byrson, Xander, etc . . .I have rooted for all of them and more when they are playing good golf.

Again, dont quit your day job. As I said above, I dont get the fanboy thing. When I watch golf, I want to see the best players in the world do their best. Whether its Tiger, DJ, BK, Rickie, Justin winning I dont care, just like to watch excellence on display. This week its Koepka.

Absolutely nothing wrong with having favorites at all. I'd say it is overwhelmingly the norm rather than the exception.

As long as you stay consistent with that I can take that point as your opinion and right to it. But it falls apart when you aren’t thrilled With anybody who’s winning. I just have a hard time wrapping my head around being thrilled no matter who’s winning.

So you’re just saying “ yay winning “. ? Or is it because of the Margain of victory ?

And for many, we find Brooks' A-game to be the least interesting of the lot, it isn't that we can't appreciate excellence -- it's that some of us prefer to have the guy producing excellence look as if he remotely cares, it's not like Brooks has a particularly beautiful swing either. I like him but I really struggle to warm to guys who don't seem to love golf, in the case of Koepka he would quite clearly prefer to be playing another sport -- there isn't anything wrong with that but, for me, I slightly resent seeing a guy who loves the game less than many who he is competing against dominate.

Yes, autocorrect got me, but whether BK needs to imitate Tiger was not the point. Neither is the fact that the older generations didn’t do it, although Jack did spend an awful lot of time with his putter raised up over his head when he made a big one. I think he might have even thrown one in the air at some point. It may have been about the time that fans started warming up to him.

“Literally, I would just make it like 15 holes, 14 holes. Because then you get to go to the 19th hole a little bit quicker,” he said. “It gets boring from like hole 5 to 12. You are just like, Where am I right now? I literally can’t tell you what happened during those holes. You kind of like black out. Everything is repetitive.

“Anything in between [the start and finish], it’s just whatever.” -Brooks Koepka

I guess it's easier not to feel pressure when you don't give a damn. I can't root for a guy like that, Spieth gets crap for whining but at least he cares about golf.
