i gotta agree with you here. i was never a big Ping guy, but the way they handle their business is very cool. It gets really really old seeing the same 3 companies bombard you with ads and it's cool to see Ping have success in a different way.

I got to meet and talk with Marty last year when I toured their facility in Arizona. Great guy and was full of knowledge.

I was super excited to see him that high up on the board, reaffirmed my decision to go back to Ping this year. I shot my lowest ever round last year 68 with ping iblades and driver and wedges and putter yet the club ho in me got rid of all that equipment. Now I am on the trail to get ping drivers, ordered Ping i210 irons (hope they come soon) and looking to get a hybrid as well...they make playable, forgiving clubs that perform for all kinds of players. I have gotten so many at my club to get the g400 max driver because it is soo good! Wish I never sold my iblades....

The driver with the Alta shaft and lightweight grip I believe was his club for the long drive contest. He made up a special driver for that event but did not get one in the grid. The JERTY wedges are his gamers. He had them in the bag at Belfair but may have changed bounces, soles, and lofts for Bethpage. You can do all of this when you are the VP of Fitting and Performance and design your own clubs at PING. Super nice person too!

I smell a broomstick and arm lock coming with the next group of putters they release. Bubba now doing the Arm Lock thing and Jerty rocking the Broomstick. I know Finau has dabbled in Arm Lock and I'm sure there are others.
