Couple of Updates:

 

Rockwood-Pretty good with just a couple small issues on the greens on the front.  Fairways and rough as A+ and greens a B but rolling nice.

 

Sky Creek Ranch-Really solid right now on all fronts.  Greens rolled super nice and fairways and rough very nice as well.

Sky Creek really surprised me and there was a time in the early to mid 2000s when I lived a mile from it and played it exclusively.

Indian Creek (creek course) this morning man it is in great shape with the exception of a few bunkers.  I forgot how fun the layout is and placement is key on a few holes.   First one off as a solo and finished in 1:45, can't beat that too bad my game did not show up today but still a fun track.

Agree about the Creeks greens. Always thought if they put the Lakes greens on the Creeks course, it would be a perfect combo.

Tenison Highlands was fantastic this morning.

I played Texas Rangers for the first time over the weekend and while it was wet from overnight rain (cart path only/mats only) and greens struggle in spots from the freeze, it’s a great course. Completely worth $120 with the interesting layout and mixture of elevation. It’s laughable that Bridlewood and Coyote Ridge charge around $100 when Rangers is far better for only $20 more. Clubhouse bar is great too, good food. Won’t be a regular spot due to price but definitely once every 6/8 rounds

I think the green spots are more from overseeing than the freeze. I agree my favorite course.

Anyone play tribute recently? Wondering about the conditions. Friends from out of town are coming and want a few “premium” rounds so this course is in consideration.

The condition at Tangle can be spotty, but I love the layout of that course. Not many copy and pasted holes

i played mesquite golf club monday and it was in great shape...... greens were fast!

Pecan hollow is still solid with their greens. Tee boxes are rough on some holes.

Fairways with bare spots but excellent overall.

I saw Waterchase had lower greens fees last few weeks which I assumed was because they punched the greens, has anyone played there recently to report on shape? Thank you

Played Monday and they were fine. They should really be ok now post 2 weeks. 
 

Split Rail’s greens are about 75% back and the sod is level now and equal to the rest of the greens. 
 

And I shot -2 there today so no complaints from me. 🤣

Played Gentle Creek for the 1st time today.  Super fun course and the greens are great and challenging if you are in the wrong spot. They are remodeling the whole clubhouse and pro shop so everything is basically outside right now.

Love playing Gentle Creek. Probably my favorite course in the DFW area. Did the member you played with mention anything about whether or not it had finally sold?

The sale when through last Friday.  That is who is handling the whole remodel and expansion.

Couple updates.  

 

Indian Creek Creek was good although the greens keeps could move the pins around a little more.  Seems like they place the holes in the same areas and lots of old hole marks.  I guess on some of those greens they have limited space to put them.  

 

Heritage Ranch, Also very nice right now.  Not sure if everyone knows but if you play on Sunday you get a $15 dollar gift card for the pro shop or for food/beverage.

What were the greens fee on Sunday at Heritage Ranch? And how hard was it to get a tee time?

$85 and not hard to get a time just hard to get one early.  Ranch members get to book out i think 10 days.

Tierra Verde was in great shape and the greens lush. They were a little hairy and slow but great. Bunkers only issue as several were unplayable.
