If you are talking about the dark line running across the club it appears it is not a seam but rather a shadow from what looks to be a small stick on badge with the CB logo on it.

I agree, there is a badge (for sound improvement from tech?) Which made me think this will be closer to the AP2 than what we think of when we think CB (bc really hasn’t the CB been moving that way in the last 2 iterations?) and the tour pros will move out of the T100 or whatever the AP2 “replacement” will be and into this CB

yea the dark line. It sure looks a lot like a seam. It would drive me nuts if water/dirt/mud gets in there.

Standard Titleist spec has less offset than the Ping. .125” in the 3i vs .14” in Ping

.12 in ping blueprint. Last time I looked at titleist the shorter irons had more offset than most blades.

My mistake. My figure was from the 2i instead of the 3i, which I meant to pull the spec from.

 

I do hope Titleist starts to take a cue from other manufacturers that better players like less offset than what Titleist offers. Even Justin Thomas has sets made for him with less offset.

 

The offset is the number one reason I moved away from Titleist years ago. It’s still a lot when you bend irons weak, which naturally removes some offset.

Titleist has the same offset. Displayed in MM vs inches. Do the conversions and you will see. MB 3 iron 3.2 MM = 0.125", PW is 1.9 MM or .075". Scary to think someone would want less offset then that. Maybe we should be asking for onset.

There was a video recently of Mark Crossfield talking to a Titleist rep talking about Titleist making bigger offsets in the MB to suit Adam Scott.

I wouldn’t be surprised...Adam Scott briefly used the 681, which had .080” offset, and then switched to the 680, which was virtually identical to the 681 but had progressive offset, starting at .120” of offset in the 3 iron down to .085”.

I think you’d be surprised how many people prefer less offset or by how prevalent it is to have less offset than .125” in the long irons in player’s/tour irons. Offset also decreases if you bend your irons weaker as well, so people often resort to that to remove offset designed into modern irons.

 

Titleist has traditionally bounced between .125” and .140” for their 3 iron, .140” is quite a bit. As I mentioned before JT plays basically onset irons from Titleist.

 

Many TaylorMade tour iron sets were created with 2mm constant offset.

 

Nike had less offset in their blades; VR Pro was .115”/3i down to .060”/PW. Tiger’s offset spec is .090”/3i down to .060/PW.

 

National Custom doesn’t design much offset, virtually none into theirs. Not surprising because it’s Don White.

Tiger spec offsets seem damn near perfect (and not cause it’s “Tiger”).

Those MB’s look fantastic!!!!!!

I really hope the T100 doesn’t spin like a top. Even single gen of the AP2’s spun to an unplayable level for me. It’s literally the only iron I have tested that I can say that about..... and I have have hit a TON.
