2019 Titleist T100 irons

Saw the T100 for the first time today. Thought it looked really good.

 

I have a fitting Thursday. Will definitely try these. Along with the CB, 919 T and 760.

T100 definitely look better in person. Can't go wrong with any of the clubs you mentioned though!

Feel like my u500 2 iron is heading in that direction but DD isn’t updating me on it. Called titleist and they said some at won back order due to lack of some components but wouldn’t say if it was the head or the evenflow white 100 I ordered

I preordered at different times 2 or 3 weeks ago, got my irons last Friday, and my u500 tuesday. Though I'm a lefty.

I placed an order for my T100s and U500 on the 25th. Got both yesterday (5th). My pro said that he had another order for just a U500 that placed before me and it was likely backordered.

It’s the head. I ordered a U500 4 on BEFORE preorder of 8/8 and was told it’s backordered until Nov and that was with a set of irons. I received my irons, but not the u500 4. I ordered it with a stock steel shaft. I later preordered a U500 3 on TGW and received it in a week. So yeah I have a 3 iron that goes 240 and a 5 iron that goes 200 right now lol.

Well s***. So the U500's are backordered through Titleist but I might be able to get one elsewhere before that? Good to know before ordering so I'll probably at least just order the T100s through Titleist and the U500 from another place. Not waiting until November for the U500 when I need the 3 and 4 iron off the tee a ton.

Maybe. My MB’s were shipped from Carlsbad and my u500 was shipped from IL even though it was a custom order. I thought it was strange

Hit the T100 today. As someone who’s had every version of AP2s since the originals, I hated these. The best part of the AP2 line was the tour-like performance with more forgiveness than you’d think. These didn’t have that level of forgiveness. Which is the main perk of the AP2 for non-tour players if you ask me. I’d rather play the CB than these, better feel and you’re not sacrificing much.

I had the opportunity last week to do a full fitting at the Titleist Performance Centre in Scotland. Great experience as always. Loved the T100 and 620CBs, both similar profiles and very similar numbers on Trackman, undeniably the ballspeed dropped if the CBS weren’t struck out of the middle. T100s looked great at address and really soft feel which surprised me. Have ordered a combo set, CBs 8-PW and T100 5-7. The other treat was the 510 utility, great high flight with the 4 iron, so that been ordered too. Finally, had the opportunity to hit the Concept iron head, loads of forgiveness for a blade although sounded slightly hollow. In conclusion, no problem recommending the T100s, a step up from AP2s in my view.

I have now gone out with the T100’s on the course. Man, these things just glide through the turf. Night and day difference from the 718 AP2. However, other than the turf interaction, these are the exact same flight, spin, etc with the 718 AP2, but man o man, it’s like a hot knife through butter on the grass.

Anyone that played 718 AP2s can you compare them to the T100's in terms of forgiveness? Now that people have had their sets of T100s for some time to use on course I've been trying to find more reviews but not seeing much out there. I keep seeing mixed things from people and I only got a chance to hit the 7 iron a few weeks ago with shafts that were too short and did not fit me so I wasn't striking it that well. Got my test 7 iron in the mail today with my shaft and specs so plan to get to the range tonight or tomorrow to see how that feels. Really not loving the T200s and planned to get T100s but afraid they are a lot less forgiving than AP2 718s from everything I have seen from people. Would like to order a set this week whether it's T100 or go back to AP2 718.

I've got few rounds with my T100's in the books and I feel as though they are just as forgiving as the AP2. Visually the T100 is more of a compact look with a thinner top line, so I could see impressions leading to opinions of a lesser forgiving golf club. I made shaft change from AMT Tour White X100 to a S300 hard stepped and overall the clubs are more productive now, better flight/spin/control. VERY happy with my T100's

Long time AP2 user...I just saw the T100 today and was shocked at how much thinner the topline is. Really, the whole package just looks slimmer. The 4 iron was actually a little intimidating. Then I saw the T200 and thought it looked oblong and very shallow. It’s almost like they need a T150!

For me, they are the exact same club except the T100’s are better looking at address with less offset and thinner top line...and MUCH better turf interaction. Net-net, I love the new T100’s and it was worth the upgrade for me. I really like these irons.

After a few Rounds with T100 IM very happy both with looks and turf interaction. In order to get optimal performance i had to switch shafts to c-taper, the amt whites are not low enough for me in t100 heads. the t100 is spinny and needs either strong lofts or low spin shafts.

I had an impromptu fitting today when a guy no showed for his appointment with the Titleist rep at my club. I was not really in the market for new irons as I was perfectly happy with my 718 ap2, but it’s also hard to pass up the chance to hit new clubs on a Trackman outside.

I am one of the guys who said the T100 looked ugly, especially compared to the 718 AP2. Well, after seeing them in person, I am retracting that statement. They look very good in hand.

 

Others have mentioned the turf interaction. I absolutely agree with that. I hit them next to my 718’s and Titleist improved in that aspect as well as overall feel with these. Not a huge difference, but there wasn’t a lot of room to improve.

 

I wasn’t expecting any distance gain, but I actually picked up a few yards, however that was likely due to a lighter shaft (Nippon 105S vs PX LZ ).

 

I hit the 4 iron as well. I know there is a lot of discussion about less forgiveness in these vs the AP2, but after about 40 swings with a 4 and 7 iron, I saw ZERO difference in forgiveness between the AP2 and T100.

 

All in all, it turned out to be an expensive afternoon for me.

 

Last tidbit. The Titleist rep said Vokeys will be out 3/6/20 or 3/8/20.

I hit the t100 yesterday, seemed to me the toe was more rounded vs last iterations. Kinda like how the CB always was, more rounded

Mine have been sitting at a local FedEx facility since Friday. Kind of annoyed they haven't been delivered yet and not sure what the deal is. Need to give them a call today on my way home from work. Hoping I can pick them up by tomorrow at the latest since I'm heading out of town this weekend.
