For me this is a total snooze fest.

 

It’s like a modern composer who changes five notes on a Bach piece and slaps their name on it. Then they join the ranks of the other hundreds of composers who have already done exactly the same thing and try to sell it to a listening audience.

You're right they avoid mentioning price. Instead they use fancy-soundin' words like "boutique", "focus on the customer experience", and "total creativity".

 

Doesn't take much to figure out that Odyssey wanted to acquire TP Mills and was reportedly going to price them in the $1000 range, only they never did, and now they have created an upper-tier Toulon range instead.

The article implies that these putters are going to be more expensive than the Garage models which are in the 500 to 700 dollar range.

They might well be. But for people to throw the number $1000 around is a bit premature. Maybe it will be $2000. Or $800. We don't know.

Maybe, but whether they cost $850, $1200 or $2500 is largely irrelevant - the point is they're going to be more expensive than normal retail prices and likely more than most people are willing to pay for a putter.

Bumping an old thread... Wasn't there an article in late 2019 about the Santa Monica coming out soon? What happened? To me it's the best looking Toulon head yet.

The Santa Monica needs to be released!!!!!! I very much want to use a Toulon but I just could not give up my tour Scotty Cameron classic tri-sole Newport 2 for the San Diego. The shape is not the same.

 

I would sell the tour Newport 2 and buy a Toulon Santa Monica in a heartbeat if the Santa Monica became available.

The 1st gen Toulons look so much better, with just the T logo in the cavity. Absolutely prefer the sight dot on top instead of sight line on flange. Could absolutely game that Santa Monica though.

As beautiful as the Santa Monica is, I think it is a pipe dream at this point given the lack of any info from Odyssey/Toulon. I'd love to give one a go too.
