I was completely joking. I tried to indicate that with the smiley (but I don't use those much so maybe I did it wrong). I was completely flabbergasted by the pictures and would have probably lost it when I found out what they did to my new incredibly expensive gear.

Have not had good luck with CC and club builds. As was mentioned, for what they charge the finished product has left a lot to be desired - the work that’s been done for me luckily wasn’t on my dime but I was still disappointed in the final product.

 

 

Makes even less sense in the OPs scenario as replacing a head weight or adding hotmelt is so much easier, AND they could probably get away with passing that cost along to the customer.

Fortunately, it came loose when attempting to drill out what I thought was just some epoxy in the shaft tip. Thank goodness.

I would contact the shaft manufacturer and get a statement from them . If they say this is not recommended I would ask CC to refund or replace the shaft and then take the new shaft to Nessism to finish it to your specs.

Since this topic was bumped back up after a considerable time lapse, just curious as to your final experience/resolution with Club Champion?

What a load of horse$hit! Swingweight is not affected by grips, its only tricking the scale. All clubs are swingweighted with a standard grip (around 50 grams). If you use midsize or jumbo, it doesnt matter, the club does not need to be readjusted. People would end up swinging 2x4's for golf clubs if this were the case.

Unfortunately a lot of people will do it this way. SW should always be done off a 50g grip/math.

I don’t get why they do this. They did it with my maverick subzero shaft cut to 44”. They had to reweight to D4. 
 

but they kept the standard two weights in the head. Could have simply added 9-12g back in the head. 
 

the Guys at TXG on their videos reweight the head, not the shaft. 
 

I do this with my 44.5” shafts on my epic max ls that I built. 

they also fail to focus on total weight using heavier shafts when cutting down vs. being hyper focused on SW. 

 

it would be really cool if they offered MOI matched sets. I would pay a premium for that.  But they are SW fixated. 
 

it’s fine they do this, but they should disclose it. Some way prefer the weight in the head vs shaft to better manage CG.
