The power of manifestation and golf

Recommended Posts

I’ve recently gotten into the whole concept of manifestation...lots of YouTube videos, etc and been using it mainly around career and life aspirations. So basically, I write down what I want my role/salary to be, visualize myself in the role and constantly think about all this as if it were a fact, not wishful thinking. In the old days, we called this the power of positive thinking, but manifestation seems to take this to a whole new level.

I was a big doubter when I first heard about the concept of manifestation, but just for kicks as part of a recent job search, I wrote down exactly what my salary would be and the title of my role. Flash forward 3 weeks later and my offer letter was EXACTLY the number I manifested and the role was very close to what I put out there into the universe.

All sounded like a bunch of cosmic crap until I started to use manifestations in other facets of my life including my kids goals and ambitions and of course I started manifesting and writing down my golf goals for each weekend. Just won our recent member/member tournament with my buddy against 21 other teams and prior to each match I would write down that we would win and on which hole we would close out the opposing team. I was accurate on 3 out of 4 matches in terms of what hole we closed them out on and we ended up being the champs.

I am playing our senior champ tournament this weekend and will report back on my wacky journey with manifestation but don’t have massive expectations in this case because I am playing “up” and have to give up 2-3 strokes based on my handicap. Also playing against some guys who are 4-5’s while I’m a 9, but for me, I’d prefer to come in second or third in champ class vs winning A class.

Anyone else out there doing manifestation?

Yes, and I think I can boil it down to confidence and trust. They are similar facets of the same gem. When these qualities are fostered, goals are more easily achieved.

Here is the great paradox I have experienced. It takes effort to harness thoughts and emotions and even more effort to translate that into improving a physical skill. Only after all of that effort do things start to become effortless. In other words you are developing good habits that get ingrained enough to become second nature.

I used to be the guy that would set a goal and visualize it. Really worked at it mentally and physically . And then all of the self-doubt kicked in and I would sabotage myself.

Happy you found something that works. Those little inexplicable, magical outcomes are proof that you are on the right path.

Your experience in manifestation reminds me of a old book called The Magic of Believing by Claude M Bristol.

It's funny that you use the phrase "put out there in the universe".  My wife is constantly telling me to watch what I put out there in the universe, lol.  But call it whatever you want, it works!

The power of manifestation is something that man has been striving for through the ages. How do we get what we want? Most of us already know what we don't want and that's our main focus. Think about it for a second.

When you're a little child and you wanted a bicycle, you want a bicycle with the red frame, white wall tires, and the tussles on the handle bars. You wrote a letter to Santa Claus. You asked the Easter Bunny. Check This

I Agree with you most of us are focus on things that are not of importance this is the main reason of our lack of focus. Most people failed, Because they are not focus on important task instead of less important task. Manifestation helps you to make a clear path for yourself and helps you to focus on clear image of your goals. Read more
