Left for a golf trip today and just got a notice my 3.0 Eye2 grind wedges just got delivered to my home! Four hours earlier and I could be using them. I usually order next day on everything but this was a preorder and thought they would not make it anyway. I called and they said I would have had them Wednesday if had paid for next day?. Shhoooot! Oh well, something new to play with when I get home...

Glad to see these coming in. I'm hoping to get mine before the club championship next weekend. Although the smart thing for me to do is to not change anything beforehand...but you know how we are about new equipment.

Has the TS grind changed over the years? I know the original glide TS used to be pretty thin soled high bounce. They didn't stamp the degree, but somewhere on Golfwrx it was listed as very high bounce, like upper teens. The new TS 3.0 is listed as 6.0 effective bounce for the 60 degree. Just wondering if the essence of the grind is still the same.

Actual bounce use to be 23 degrees. However the sole is so thin, it's 'effective' bounce is 6 degrees. I'm sure 3.0 is basically the same.

I got mine today 54/12-SS and 60/06-TS....nine holes with them. Really nice, like the rounded bottom. All shots seemed to really spin a good bit more than my Stealth wedges (1.5 years old). Also played with my new i210s which replaced my iBlades. Seamless transition from iBlade to i210 and I think the 210s are a better all around club.

Just curious, did you use the TS grind in your glide 2.0s? If so did you notice any difference in turf interaction. I have always used the TS grind and really like it, just hoping it hasn’t changed much

What is the difference between the effective bounce being 23 degrees and the listed bounce being 6 degrees? How does that actually impact turf interaction on regular shots and partial shots?

Also, what was the effective bounce on the ES listed at 8 degrees?

23 is 'actual' bounce. 6 is 'effective' bounce. The narrow sole makes it 'play' like 6 degrees of bounce. Personally I'm not a fan 'effective' because it doesn't tell the whole story. With the TS, the bounce is near the front. The ES is 8 degrees which you would think is close to the TS but the bounce is in the rear. You need to find out what works best for you and your swing(s). The issue with wedges has always been that they can be used for a wide variety of shots AND swings and it's very difficult to find a 'grind' that is ideal for everything. There will always be compromise and it's up to you to decide what grind or combination of grinds will best suit your game. That's why it's popular to have a different grind and bounce on the SW vs the LW giving you more options depending on the shot, the lie and the swing you need to pull it off.

Was able to hit the 58/08 Eye2 wedge today at GG. Feels slightly heavier than the previous 2.0 and feel is definitely softer. This thing can spin! On half shots to about 50-55 yards, was averaging 9200 rpms. On full shots to about 85-90 yards, was averaging 10800 rpm of spin. Not sure how that translates on course (especially since I was hitting a beat up chrome soft) but it was fun to see such high spin rates consistently. The eye2 actually looks pretty good to me at address but i'm looking forward to testing it against the TS grind as well.

I think my local shop screwed up my order. They now say it won't be in until the 26th. (only change was grip size). PING says that's the ship date for new orders. My order was placed 2 weeks ago.

The local big box has it in stock. I really want to support my local shop, but not to the tune of waiting an extra month for an order that wasn't submitted.

Placed my order at my club last week, Pro told me today since I was late on the pre orders I’m looking at the 12th as a ship date. Hope they come sooner!

Who knows how ping handles orders. Ordered mine last Wednesday, they came in today. Wasn’t expecting them until middle of August. Since Ping doesn’t allow early sales I guess August 1 was the sale date. A couple of sessions at range and par 3 course at club. So far prefer the looks and feel of my Stealth 2.0s. Early maybe they will grow on me. But they are better feeling than the Glide forged..

I just got G410 irons so would love to grab the Eye2 lob wedge.....but hard to justify, i just bought a Mack Daddy PM grind earlier in the year and it's basically the exact same wedge.

One day i'll probably grab one.

Bit the bullet and bought the Eye2 54*at the PGATSS. I almost changed my mind. I knew what it was going to look like, but still a little bit chunkier than I expected. I went back and forth between it and the standard sole. I finally went ahead and pulled the trigger. Taking it out with the Stealth ES tomorrow morning for an extended short game session. The plus side is I can take advantage of the 60 day playability guarantee and switch to the SS if I don't like it.

Just picked up the 56* eye2 today, will try to post my experience vs pm grind 2019 next week.

I was short more often than long with my 58* pm grind (play soft conditions here a lot), plus it was quirky from fairway on "full" (really 3/4) shots.

So replacing my old 54 glide and 58 pm with this, partly to make room for my favorite 3 hybrid (used to reach par 5 in two yesterday, Eagle), partly to simplify decision making. Inside 95 yards, I pull the 56*, period. We'll see. I had a 56* PM for a while, could flop the heck out of it and great sand club, regret letting it go.
